From PackersWire:

"The Green Bay Packers offense hasn’t been consistent, in rhythm or free from mistakes, but they’ve produced patches of explosive plays throwing the football. In fact, Aaron Rodgers is currently first in a stat most would assume to be dominated by young guns such as Patrick Mahomes or Jared Goff early in the 2018 season. Through six weeks, no quarterback in the NFL has more passing plays over 50 yards than Rodgers, who has six. Ryan Fitzpatrick is second with five. Goff has four, while Mahomes has three"

Is Rodgers inability  limited ability to extend plays (due to the injury) affecting this?

I think its more the fact that he won't throw to a semi-covered receiver at all. The amount of balls he just air mails over the heads of his receivers or throws out of bounds this doesn't surprise me at all. Why is he so good late in games? He trusts his WRs to make plays and they come through.

From JSOnline:

"The Outagamie County District Attorney's office is preparing to file criminal drug charges against Green Bay Packers tight end Lance Kendricks. The district attorney's office on Wednesday confirmed it expects to charge Kendricks in the near future in connection to a state trooper's discovery of marijuana in Kendricks' vehicle during a 2017 traffic stop on Interstate 41. Packers wide receiver Geronimo Allison was charged with possession of marijuana several months after his Sept. 4, 2016, arrest. Allison received a one-game suspension from the NFL for violating the substance-abuse policy. Packers running back Aaron Jones was suspended for the first two games of the 2018 NFL season for violating the same policy. Jones was arrested in October 2017 after he admitted to smoking marijuana during a traffic stop. Jones pleaded no contest  in February to a traffic citation for driving with a controlled substance in his system. Under the plea agreement, tickets for speeding and driving without a license were dismissed. Kendricks would be subject to punishment under the same policy upon conclusion of his case"

Dont look now but.......

From Acme Packing Co:

"If health stays on his side, Jimmy Graham is poised to do things that the Green Bay Packers have never seen from a tight end over the course of a full season. After last week’s five-catch, 104-yard performance against the San Francisco 49ers — Graham’s first 100-yard game since 2016 — Graham has put himself on pace to shatter several Packers’ single-season receiving records at the position"

From SI.com:

"Following Monday night’s come from behind victory over the San Francisco 49ers, Aaron Rodgers said he felt better about the depth they at wide receiver than he did after the preseason. The Green Bay Packers have been forced to play all three rookie receivers in the absence of Randall Cobb and Geronimo Allison who are dealing with their own respective hamstring injuries, but so far the rookies have helped maintain the offense’s production. In large part, it’s due to the emergence of fifth-round rookie Marquez Valdes-Scantling who has earned the trust of his veteran quarterback. Valdes-Scantling is well ahead of fellow rookies J’Mon Moore and Equanimeous St. Brown in terms of development and could see his role increase as the season progresses.

“Marquez (had) been a little bit ahead of those guys throughout training camp,” Rodgers said leading up to the 49ers game.

Valdes-Scantling responded by going for a career-high 103 yards a few days later. Through six games, he has racked up 212 receiving yards on 12 catches and one touchdown. His yards total already ranks him fifth among NFL rookies.

While it’s too early to determine the 2018 draft class a success, the receivers at least are off to a good start. Each has made their fair share of mistakes but have been able to bounce back. All three bring something different to the table in terms of skill set but Valdes-Scantling leads the trio in production mainly because he’s consistently been on the field. His snap count stands at 217 compared to St. Brown’s 95 and Moore’s 42.

As a late-round selection, Valdes-Scantling’s early impact was somewhat unexpected. He played for two different schools in college and never received national attention, however, once he arrived in Green Bay it was clear he was out in front in comparison of his peers. Cobb and Allison are expected to return to the lineup following the bye week, but Valdes-Scantling should continue to see the field. He’s flashed quickness after the catch and abilities as a route runner that should make him a stable target for Rodgers going forward.

The future is bright for the young player from the University of South Florida"

He's played okay for the most part, but I really expected him to show off his athleticism in the redzone.  He's kind of flopped on some of those throws that Rodgers has put up for him to get.  Hopefully he settles in even more and has a big rest of the season.

Boy, that scared me when it started out with DA's office.  Was thinking a major offense for a major player.  But, it's a piddly offense from a piddly player.  Yawn.

It is kind of unfair for players that don't play in states where weed is legal.  They are less likely to be charged and therefore less likely to be suspended for smoking marijuana.

So we worked out Eddie Pleasant, then he signs with the Cardinals.  Either we decided not to sign him, or he chose the Cardinals over us, and I don't know which one is more depressing.

The fact that we're working out two safeties when both of ours are healthy is also frustrating as hell.  There's nobody available right now that's better than what we've got.  There certainly WAS.  Eric Reid... It's like acknowledging we've got a problem, but...

It's like having a leak and going to Home Depot to get a cheaper kind of duct tape because maybe it will work better.

Give just about any street FA two weeks to learn our system and he'll at least be as good as Brice, and probably better. Guy literally hasnt done a thing this year but get burned for long TDs. He's a poor tackler, and pretty much hasnt made a play on a ball in the air yet this year. What am I missing?

Gute has done a lot of good things as GM in year 1 but his handling of the safety position, considering what we have and what was available on the market is almost unthinkable.
