We're in the high end of the league. I think you just associate running the ball with out of date football. The lowest percentage passing on first down team is undefeated.
cannondale
Defenses have been working to protect against the pass since the death of the Hogs. A strong run game, RB's catching passes, and lots of plays that are schemed around the line of scrimmage seems to be the new thing to combat that. It makes sense to me. Gopackgonerd
I still think even with the averages it's fine to be that balanced. Now if we were only avging 1 to 2 yards per carry on first down I would say we should pass a hell of a lot more. But we arent inept at running the ball to that degree. Leader
Joe Kipp: Packers OLB Za’Darius Smith is already halfway to his single-season career-high in QB pressures. Smith is credited by PFF with 30 pressures this season through just five games. His career-best was 60 pressures in all of 2018 with the Ravens. I didn't purchase the highest end PFF that shows me pressures, but pro football reference has him at....17. And it has his 2018 pressures at 35. https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/S/SmitZa00.htm

Pro Football Reference clearly has no make up. Both get to the same thing, one just looks a whole lot better. Make sense?
Leader
Ben Fennell: Most RBs can hit a hole when the play is blocked perfectly But the SPECIAL running backs can create for themselves & make something out of nothing. Aaron Jones has the vision, creativity, & speed to get the edge - then make pay in the open field.

Try throwing 100% on every first down and see if you're still picking up 6.2 yards per pass. well right now throwing is significantly more effective. How about we try throwing more until it's not significantly more effective. That would make the whole thing more effective

Leader
PackersWire: The timeline for Davante Adams’ return from a turf toe injury is a broad one. According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, the Green Bay Packers receiver is expected to be out anywhere from two to six weeks, meaning he’ll almost certainly miss Monday night’s matchup with the Detroit Lions. Adams suffered the injury on Sept. 26 and missed Sunday’s win over the Dallas Cowboys.
Leader
Tom Silverstein: Packers NT Kenny Clark said he will appeal a $10,527 fine he received for an unsportsmanlike penalty against the Cowboys. He was fined $21,056 in Week 4 for a late hit vs. the #Eagles. "I've been playing for free the last two weeks," he said.
