wcblack34
Man, I feel for Wonnum. The bright side is that he can come back from a quad. The downside is the timing. I hope the Vikings bring him back on a short term deal that allows him to get to FA next year or the year after and get his money.

They aren't resting players (outside of injuries) because they're still in the playoff hunt. And why would you rest players when they likely won't have to play again for 9 months?

They are delusional if they think they are a playoff team.

Whether they can compete in the playoffs is a whole other matter.

Wonnum's probably won't be as long, but it will still affect his free agency. Edited December 26, 2023 by swede700
swede700
Couple this list of injuries to significant players (doesn't even mention how Hock has pretty much been playing injured for the last month and a half or so) with the amount of turnovers, this is why they're 7-8.

SemperFeist
O’Connell doesn’t mention tears, just injuries. I’m curious if Hock’s injuries are complete tears, or partial tears? Or something else? Hard for me to believe that he completely tore two ligaments and then jogged off of the field.

The average recovery for an ACL tear in the NFL is down to like 8 months Edited December 26, 2023 by SemperFeist

Obviously, I'm not a doctor, but I just simply googled it and it said 6-9 months at minimum, so I'm just guessing.
vike daddy
we don't know the severity of the tears either.
