jetskid007
Quote CB Kendall Fuller is the player that made the trade for Alex Smith possible. Chiefs view Fuller as a bonafide starter, to go along with the third-round pick they’re getting. Schefter doubling-down, which means Fuller is in the deal. Car_Ramrod
Wow. Redskins front office C'mon man! That's absolutely ludicrous to pay Alex friggen smith that amount of money. i hope Cousins continues to ball out wherever he goes. Jax and Denver obviously make the most sense. AFlaccoSeagulls
"Yeah you're totally not the guy Kendall! (snickering in the background) <hangs up> OH MY GOD DO YOU THINK HE BOUGHT IT?!?"
Jakuvious
Everyone seems to be confirming Fuller. Schefter is reaffirming as such. Terez Paylor, who broke the trade news in the first place is saying so. Benjamin Allbright has confirmed. A few others. I'm freaking ecstatic.

It's only tampering if the team with rights to the player doesn't allow the negotiation. Extension negotiations between trades happen semi-regularly, because presumably the Chiefs went to Washington and said hey, we're willing to trade Smith to you for what we discussed, go ahead and talk to him about money if you'd like.
