bcb1213
On 4/27/2018 at 11:15 AM, bcb1213 said: BDL Landing grades -round one 1. Hawaii- Saquon Barkley- Real life Giants #2 -1 Most likely where Hawaii figured he would land. Not the greatest of offensive lines but it is still solid and a division with a couple questionable run stopping units (non philly) A 2. Seoul- Bradley Chubb IRL Broncos 5 -3 Plusses and minuses here. Plus, getting to learn from one of the best in Von Miller will really benefit chubb. Minus, i don't think he has the speed for a 3-4 OLB. With a lot more nickel and man looks though, i think he'll still get a solid amount of playing time B+ 3. Oklahoma City- Josh Rosen IRL Cardinals 10 -7 Rosen is my favorite qb in this class, but he has landed in an awful situation. Arizona's WR and OL is basically a dumpster fire outside of Larry who will likely retire after this year leaving Rosen not much to work with behind a suspect OL The only saving grace may be David Johnson can be a great security blanket if he returns healthy and as was. Landing grade D 4. Wichita- Quenton Nelson IRL Colts 6 -2 It is really hard for a guard to go in the top ten and not be an instant starter. So not much to say here. He should be fine in INDY Landing Grade B+ (though that be the grade almost anywhere) 5. Camden- Denzel Ward IRL Cleveland 4 +1 Ward lands in a perfect spot for his skill set as he is the type of CB Greg Williams can lean on and he will be a day one starter Landing Grade A+ 6. Louisiana- Sam Darnold IRL Jets 3 +3 I think Bates can get some good work out of Darnold and the receivers in New York are actually pretty well complimentary of each other. The only thing holding this back is a pretty meh offensive line. Landing grade B+ 7. Berlin Tremaine Edwards IRL Bills 16 -9 Edwards falls a bit but lands a starting gig, where they line him up could be interesting as he could be an OLB in their scheme that allows a little more free range to their LB. I think he'd be a huge success there but not as much at MLB as that spot in the bills is almost entirely a cover one type of spot playing the middle, not sideline to sideline. Grade Incomplete 8 Gotham Minkah Fitzpatrick IRL Dolphins 11 -3 If Gotham wanted Mikah to be a corner, he lands in a great spot, if they wanted him as a Safety, likely not. I'm gonna guess the former over the latter. Miami was miserable against opposing TE last season so i expect Minkah to kinda play the roamer role in Miami. The Dolphins may the most directionless team in the NFL though so I can't applaud any player going here Landing grade B- 9. Cuba Darwin James IRL Chargers 17 -8 What is interesting is that James is going to be asked to move to FS but IMO landing under Gus Bradley cover three in LA is a huge boom for James as I think he'll be able to thrive in the Earl Thomas type of role. Landing grade A+ 10. Da Beach Vita Vea IRL Tampa 12 -2 This is a huge coup for the Bucs as their front four is freaktastic now. Vea is going to be able to eat up blocks and not face much pressure to go after the QB or put up big numbers with the talent around him. However the bucs signed a couple other DT this offseason which may see him off the field in a lot of passing downs which could limit his stats/name value down the road Landing grade A- 11. Hawaii Roquon Smith IRL Chicago 8 +3 Smith is the perfect player for Vic's defense and he should be able to put up eerily similar results to what Jerrell Freeman gave the bears as far as tackles and coverage ability. Landing grade A 12. Louisina Josh Allen IRL Buffalo 7 +5 This is a tough grade as he , amongst all the QB probably needed to sit the most but may be the only day one training camp starter of the four QB. He has two excellent checkdown options in Clay and McCoy which any rookie QB would be jealous of. The difficulties is he is gonna pace a lot of pressure right in his face early as the bills interior line is pretty poor. Getting to start right from the get go could put him ahead of the other qb, or could lead to a bunch of concussions in Buffalo. Landing grade B- 13 - Hawaii Nightmarchers - Harold Landry, Boston College 41 Ten -28 . Long term, this looks like a good fit for Landry, however being drafted 13 here, I'm sure Hawaii probably wanted more a three down guy than a passing down specialist early on. However, he should have reps in the future with Tennessee's edges being older Landing grade C 14 Louisiana Jazz - Joshua Jackson Iowa 45 GB -31. Had the pack taken him with their first pick, no one would have been surprised. However, he goes there with the second. He probably starts as the nickel corner/hybrid safety, maybe? GB secondary has a lot of dudes who are kinda alike but if he can beat out Kevin King, he could see lots of playing time, if not, he may not see much of the field at all. Landing grade B- 15 Berlin Blitzkrieg - Derris Guice LSU 59 Wash -44 Sucks for the ole plus minus, but he lands iwith a team that needs a RB behind a solid O line. Should work Landing Spot A- 16 Rome Eternals Leighton Vander Esch IRL Dallas 19 -3 Another tough grade as one of the players he is commonly compared to is Sean Lee so he has a great shot to learn from a player who has been highly productive. However, with Jaylon Smith also there, I'm not sure how Dallas is going to split up their LB reps for passing situations. Long term, this is a great fit, short term, I'm not sure. Landing grade C TUESDAY 4/10/2018 17. Orlando Ospreys - Baker Mayfield, QB IRL Browns 1 +16 Baker lands in a spot where i think he can succeed. Cleveland likes guys who give a damn and he obviously does that in spades. Landry, Gordon and Coleman gives a solid group of receivers and they will likely add a RB later today. If Joe Thomas was still there, would be an easy A. But alas, this is Cleveland so the factory of Sadness brings it down a notch Landing grade A- 18 Sydney Dingos - Calvin Ridley, WR IRL Atlanta 26 -8 Ridley lands in a solid location as he is not going to be able to carry the load for the offense. Being a great number two is where he should be, as I don't see number one wr with him. With defenses concentrating on Julio and Sanu in the slot, Ridley should be able to make some splash plays on the outside, even if he doesnt get a huge target number. Llanding Grade B 19 Orlando Ospreys - Jaire Alexander IR GB 18 +1 Green Bay hasn't had the best history of developing corners but Alexander should be starting here in the slot after the Packers moved back up for him. Long term, he only really has Kevin King to battle for major reps down the road as Tramon Williams won't be there long. Landing Grade B 20 Gotham Gashslayers - Mike McGlinchey, IRL SF 10 +10 This may be the hardest evaluation. Mike may be moved to guard year one or could even not start. However, Staley only has a year or two left while Brown is coming off an injury so either could be moved in the near future. If so, this grade moves up. However, Gotham drafted him to be a starting tackle now and that's not assured to happen. Landing grade D 21- Oklahoma City Rogues - DJ Moore IRL CAR 24 -3 Moore basically becomes the de facto number one option in Carolina and Cam can throw it a mile. They also bypassed Ridley which means they love Moore Landing Grade A 22 Ivory Coast Black Rhinos Da'Ron Payne IRL Wash 13 +9 Payne lands next to his old Alabama team mate which should help his comfort level and he should get tons of reps in Washington, maybe coming off on passing downs Landing grade B 23 - Berlin Blitzkrieg - Rashaan Evans IRL Tenn 22 +1 I'm sure rags is pumped his guy went to the Titans, but I don't know how great a fit he is going to be unless he gains some weight to be a 3-4 ILB. Iit'll help that he will be the coverage specialist with Woodyard being the run stuffer. He'll get all the passing down work at very least. Landing grade B+ 24 Cuba Smugglers - Isaiah Oliver, CB, Colorado 58 Atl -34 I like Oliver as a player but strictly as a landing spot, this is not a great spot. He is at best the dime corner headed into the season. He is going to need an injury to see any sort of significant snaps. Landing grade D- 25 Sydney Dingos - Donte Jackson, CB, LSU 55 Car -30 While I'm sure Dingo wasn't happy with the fall, Jackson should open as a starting corner for Carolina in the slot Landing grade A 26. Sydney Dingos - Carlton Davis, CB, Auburn 63 TB -37 Tampa definetely had a need at corner. Being the second corner they drafted could mean they don't view him as highly, but he should probably still start in sub packages. Landing grade B 27 Rome Eternals - Marcus Davenport IRL NO 14 +13 When a team gives up a future first to come up to draft you, you're gonna be a big piece of what the want to do this upcoming season. Davenport should fit in great across from Cam Jordon and should put up some good numbers against some weak RT in the NFC South Landing grade A+ 28 Orlando Ospreys - Mike Gesicki, TE, Penn State 42 MIA -14 Footy's players land in great spots this year. The move TE in the Adam Gase offense generally gets tons of looks so he is gonna put up pretty good numbers for a rookie TE. However, he likely won't have much oppurtunity to become much of a true TE if thats what Orlando was looking for Landing grade A 29 Cuba Smugglers - DJ Chark, WR, LSU 61 Jax -32 If Bortles ever becomes a good QB, this is an OK landing spot. The Jags have some holes at WR depth wise so he should fit in three, four wide. Bit of a running team however with a limited QB. Landing grade C 30 Camden Hood Rats - QB Lamar Jackson Louisville IRL Bal 32 -2 While I don't like Jackson, this is the best landing spot for him. Same OC that was behind Vick and McNabb, plus no pressure to start right away. As long as Camden doesn't mind waiting a year, this should work out to Jackson's benefit Ladning spot A 31 Orlando Ospreys - Josh Sweat, EDGE, Florida State 130 Phil -99 Philly generally churns out pass rushers but he opens this season at least fifth on their pass rush depth charts. Landing grade C- 32 Camden Hood Rats - OL Isaiah Wynn Georgia IRL NE 23 +9 This is gonna be interesting as the Pats may be using Wynn at LT. I don't have the knowledge on how he'd play there so sorry JLASH Landing spot INC WEDNESDAY 4/11/2018 33 Cuba Smugglers - Ronnie Harrison, SS 93 Jax - 60 Long term, this will likely be a good landing spot. I don't know how much he'll play year one though. Landing grade C 34 Orlando Ospreys - Connor Williams, OL, Texas 50 DAL -16 Ii don't see much of a path to playing time right away for Williams unless it's at RT. When you take a tackle this high, you hope he finds a home pretty quick. Plus, he may be better suited to be a guard int he NFL. Only saving grace is that Dallas does develop offensive line well. Landing grade D+ 35 Oklahoma City Rogues - James Daniels, C, Iowa. 39 Chi -4 Drafted as a center, this might be the only downfall in the landing grade as he should instantly be the bears starting guard. Iit'll be fun to watch as we try to see how that plays out in OKC if they don't find another C. Landing spot, as drafted C, if for a g A- 36 Long Beach Leprechauns - Taven Bryan IRL 29 Jax +7 I'm assuming he's gonna be the pass rusher to Dareus' fat guy? I am not sure i get this pick for Jax and it is gonna take an injury for Bryan to get more than a specialist role Landing spot D 37 Orlando Ospreys - Frank Ragnow, IRL 20 DET +17 Ragnow likely becomes the day one starter for Detroit at center protecting stafford. Not much to be said for interior lineman as long as they are starting its a solid spot. Landing grade B 38 Portland Horned Owls - Will Hernandez, G, UTEP 34 NYG +4 Hernandez will be starting right away, and really has little long term competition. Landing Grade A 39 Seoul Dragons - Justin Reid, S, Stanford 68 Hou -29 Reid should be a good fit for the black tree's defense as Crennell likes to use multiple safety looks when he has the personnel Landing grade A 40 Oklahoma City Rogues - Billy Price, IRL CIN 21 +19 See Ragnow, Frank. Above Llnding grade B 41 Gotham Gashslayers - Hayden Hurst, TE - South Carolina IRL Bal 25 +16 The Ravens don't have the greatest history in developing TE but Hurst has a chance for the starting job here and Flacco could use a red zone target. Grade B- 42 Hawaii Nightmarchers - Mike Hughes, Cornerback, UCF IRL Min 30 +12 Complete opposite of Baltimore and TE, Minnesota generally does pretty well developing corners and Hughes has a shot to start in the slot right from the get go. Landing grade B+ 43 Camden Hood Rats - WR Courtland Sutton SMU 40 Den +3 Call me crazy, but i don't like this landing spot. There is no long term qb in Denver and he has two established veterans in front of him. Now, if Denver lands a good qb down the road, he shouldn't have much issues being a starter next season. Camden in for the long run, probably doesn't mind him not doing much year one. Landing grade C- 44 Orlando Ospreys - Ronald Jones, RB, USC 38 TB +6 If he sticks to football and doesn't get into the Dirk's no discipline team idea. He should have a strong hold on the rb spot that made Peyton Barber look good. Landing grade A 45 Ivory Coast Black Rhinos - Maurice Hurst, Defensive Tackle, Michigan 46 Hawaii Nightmarchers - Christian Kirk, WR, Texas A&M 47 ARI -1 Long term qb, check, learn from a HOF wr, check, oppurtunity to start check. Landing grade A+ 47 Camden Hood Rats - LB Darius Leonard SC State 36 IND +11 Leonard should become an every down LB in indy right off the bat with out much competition on that lousy defensive squad. Landing grade A 48 Camden Hood Rats - RB Sony Michel Georgia IRL NE 31 +17 Michel is a good RB who probably ended up in one of the worst places for him. Belichek hates turnover prone RB and Michel is a turnover prone RB. Bill also rotates his RB every other game which makes using him in BDL and in fantasy a royal pain the a$$ Landing Spot D+ THURSDAY 4/12/2018 49 Seoul Dragons - Tim Settle, DT, VTech 50 Hawaii Nightmarchers - Dallas Goedert, TE, South Dakota State 49 Phil +1 There are better landing spots for Ggoedert, but Philly runs a boatload of two TE so he can put up solid numbers while not being overly relied upon. Landing grade B 51 Camden Hood Rats - OT Tyrell Crosby 52 Gotham Gashslayers - Kerryon Johnson, RB - Auburn 43 DET +9 Johnson is a great fit for the detroit offense and he'll likely start chipping away at Theo Riddick's looks around midseason. If you look at Riddick's numbers the past couple years, you'll likely get a good idea what Johnson will put up in the future. Year one might not be as impressive though. Landing grade B+ 53 Long Beach Leprechauns - Sam Hubbard DE OSU 77 Cin -24 He lands in cincy where rookies go to die and he's probably four on the edge pecking order. Landing grade D- 54 Orlando Ospreys - Dante Pettis, WR, Washington 44 SF +10 Well the 49ers need WR and they traded up to get Pettis which means they really like him. Not sure if he'll start in base or three wide (in SF this may be the same thing) But he has long term oppurtunity and upside. Landing grade A+ 55 Berlin Blitzkrieg - Kolton Miller, OT, UCLA IRL Oak 15 +40 Miller lands in a good spot for him as he may not be asked to start right away with Penn still at LT and Sharpe at RT. This allows Cable to coach him up to replace Penn next season which given Miller's form, he's gonna need. Landing spot A- 56 - Orlando Ospreys - Nathan Shepherd, DT, Fort Hays State 72 NYJ -16 The Jets needed a big fat guy, enter Shepherd who should see a lot of snaps his rookie year despite the jump in competition. Landing grade A 57 - Gotham Gashslayers - Deon Cain, WR - Clemson 58 Cuba Smugglers - Malik Jefferson, ILB, Texas 78 Cin -20 you'll notice a trend with these Cincy guys. Jefferson will probably get some time in sub packages, but won't see the field much with their philosophy. Could change if Burflict, does Burflict things Grade D 59 Oklahoma City Rogues - Anthony Miller, WR, Memphis 51 Chi +8 Should get solid playing time with a young QB in a solid system. Nothing spectacular in the landing spot as AROB is clearly the number one but he can put up solid numbers if Chicago opens up the playbook this year. Landing grade B 60 - Camden Hood Rats - S DeShon Elliott Texas 61 Louisiana Jazz - Equanimeous St. Brown, WR, Notre Dame 62 Singapore Sentinals - Jessie Bates III, S, Wake Forest 54 Cin +8 Good news, The bengals badly need a safety next to Shawn Williams. Bad news, the Bengals normally red shirt their rookies. If he starts from the get go, he'll be a good one. I was pissed he went two picks before me. Landing spot INC 63 Orlando Ospreys - Fred Warner, LB, BYU 70 SF -7 If foster ends up having discipline penalties for this offseason Warner becomes an instant starter, if not I don't see much of a role for him season one. Landing grade C- to A 64 Rome Eternals - G Braden Smith, Auburn 37 Ind +27 I am just guessing the Colts move him to RT or maybe Mewhowrt to RT and him at RG, but they have slausson and nelson. I don't know what they f they are doing there. Landing grade D 65 Camden Hood Rats - QB Mason Rudolph OK State 76 Pit -11 Well, Ben said he is playing another 3 years, they drafted dobbs last year too. Hopefully for jlash, the kid takes over for Ben. That's the best scenario, but its a few years away. Landing spot F 66 Ivory Coast Black Rhinos - Nick Chubb, Running Back, Georgia 35 CLE +31 Chubb lands in the factory of sadness but has a chance to be a contributor early if he can beat out made of glass Carlos Hyde. If he can't, he won't get any work with Duke Johnson locked as the third down back. Landing grade C 67 Oklahoma City Rogues - Brian O'Neill, OT, Pittsburgh 62 Min +5 I'd imagine O neli can beat out Mike Remmers so getting a starting right tackle from the jump makes for a solid grade. Landing spot B+ 68 Wichita Woodpeckers - EDGE Arden Key, LSU 87 Oak -19 Key plus Oakland/Vegas...oh boy. On the field he will be a roational piece with Edwards and Mack Landing spot D+ 69 Camden Hood Rats - OT Orlando Brown Bal 83 -14 Brown gets a perfect landing spot as he will likely get a lot of Ozzie motivation year one. If the Ravens can get him conditioned, watch out/ Landing grade A 70 Berlin Blitzkrieg - Lorenzo Carter, LB, UGA 66 NYG +4 He'll be an edge rusher in the new look Giants 3-4. He'll likely see most of the work outside of short distances when Avery Moss will likely come in. Landing grade A- 71 - Orlando Ospreys - Austin Corbett, OL, Nevada 33 CLE +38 Was seen as a guard or even center entering the draft. May end up being a swing tackle. No idea here. Grade higher due to being a high second round pick likely assures playing time somewhere, i guess even if I don't know what the hell the Browns are doing with him Landing Grade B- 72 Camden Hood Rats - LB Josey Jewell Iowa 106 Den -34 Should have a cnance to compete for a starting spot Grade C 73 Rome Eternals - WR James Washington, Oklahoma State 60 Pit +13 Washington should take over the field stretcher role from Martavis Bryant and even gets his college QB on the team for future development. Landing spot A 74 Gotham Gashslayers - Rashaad Penny, IRL 27 SEA +47 Getting a fifth rounder to go in the first and likely play a big offensive role is a coup for Gotham. Penny could easily be worth a dollar as he could very well be a huge part of the Seattle offense Landing grade A+ 75 Oklahoma City Rogues - Michael Gallup, WR , Colorado St 81 Dal -6 Gallup should open up at Dallas 4th wide out, and maybe third but he has the highest upside of all their players and may have a bigger role by seasons end. Landing grade A- 76 Orlando Ospreys - Royce Freeman, RB, Oregon 71 Den +5 Denver's o line is a bit of a trainwreck, but Freeman should get ample oppurtunites with Devontae Booker being the only competition. Landing grade B+ 77 Singapore Sentinals - Quenton Meeks, CB, Stanford 78 Long Beach Leprechauns - Rasheem Green DL USC Sea 79 -1 Green likely opens up as a starting end for Seattle. Not much more you can ask for at this point. Landing A 79 Seoul Dragons - Terell Edmuns, IRL 28 PIT +51 Mike Tomlin loves this kid. He could very well end up in the polamlu role for pittsburgh. Landing grade A 80 Long Beach Leprechauns - Uchenna Nwosu LB USC 48 LAC +32 Kind of a mixed bag here for Nwoasu. He ends up going in the second round which means the Chargers like him more than most, however he's simply gonna be a pass rush guy with Bosa and Ingram in town, don't expect much PT. We'll see how it goes. Ladning grade B- 81 Hawaii Nightmarchers - Chukwuma "Chuks" Okorafor, OT, Western MIchigan Pit 92 -11 Will likely take on the Chris Hubbard utility o line role for pittsburgh which gave Hubbard a career. Ladning spot C 82 Ivory Coast Black Rhinos - Ogbonnia Okoronkwo, Edge, Oklahoma 83 Singapore Sentinals - Martinas Rankins, OT, Mississippi State 80 Hou +3 Will definetley be in the discussion to start at either tackle spot for Houston. Excellent spot A+ 84 Oklahoma City Rogues - Mark Andrews, TE, Oklahoma 86 Bal -2 Bbit of a tough grade with him being the second Ravens TE drafted. Llikely to be more of a big slot WR but has playing time potention. Landing grade B- 85 Seoul Dragons - Kalen Ballage, RB, Arizona State 131 Mia -46 he has to beat out Frank Gore and Kenyan Drake, doable Landing Grade B 86 Rome Eternals - S Armani Watts TAMU 124 KC -38 Will compete for starting FS job Landing grade B- 87 Berlin Blitzkrieg - Geron Christian, OT, Louisville 88 Seoul Dragons - Micah Kiser LB Virginia 89 Cuba Smugglers - Jaylen Samuels, TE/OW NC State 90 Gotham Gashslayers - Marcel Ateman, WR - Oklahoma St 91 Singapore Sentinals - "Bo" Duke Ejiofor, DE, Wake Forest 92 Singapore Sentinals - "Luke" Duke Dawson, CB, Florida 56 NE +36 iI don't know what to do with this grade. It's Belichek, but the last time he reached int he second for an SEC corner it was Cyrus Jones Grade C+ 93 Wichita Woodpeckers - Jamarco Jones OT, Ohio State 94 Camden Hood Rats - DT Harrison Phillips Stanford 96 Buf -2 Great spot for him. Llikely sits most of year one but learns from Kyle Williams who he has a similar play style as Grade A- 95 Seoul Dragons - Antonio Callaway, WR, Florida 105 Cle -10 Probably the fifth WR in cleveland. not a great spot. Landing D 96 Rome Eternals - CB Anthony Averett, Alabama 118 Bal -22 Likely the dime corner this year, couple older corners in one and two roles though. Landing Grade C 97- Orlando Ospreys - Trayvon Henderson, SAF, Hawaii 98 Long Beach Leprechauns - Shaquem Griffin LB UCF 99 Singapore Sentinals - Mark Walton Jr. RB Miami 112 Cin -13 Walton likely won't see much action year one, but the Bengals can get out of Bernards ontract after this season 100- Hawaii Nightmarchers - BJ Hill, DT, NC State 69 NYG +31 Should compete with fellow rookie Mcintosh for the last spot on the giants line. Little concerned that he iis more a NT type with Snacks already occupying that spot. Seventh round though you just want your guy to have a starting shot. Landing grade B 101- Cuba Smugglers - Dorance Armstrong, Edge, Kansas 116 Dal -15 Needs to put on weight to be a 4-3 end. likely a project Landing grade D+ 102 Cuba Smugglers - Ian Thomas, TE, Indiana 101 Car +1 Will likely see time when Greg Olsen inevitably gets hurt. Landing grade C+ 103 Berlin Blitzkrieg - Da'Shawn Hand, DT, Alabama 114 Det -11 Will compete for snaps on a rotational basis, should get them. Good scheme fit. Landing grade B 104 Cuba Smugglers - Derrick Nnadi, NT, Florida State University 75 KC +29 He should see a decent amount of work in early downs for the Chiefs, 7th rounder playing time Landing grade A- 105 Cuba Smugglers - Brandon Parker, OT, North Carolina A&T 65 OAK +40 Hopefully Gruden hates David Sharpe, if so, Parker likely learns for a year then takes over for Penn, if not, I don't see how he gets snaps. Grade INC 106 Gotham Gashslayers - Kemoko Turay, EDGE - Rutgers 52 Ind +54 Well, getting a second rounder this late is a nice steal. He should become at worse a rotational player. I thought this kid was more a 3-4 guy but he should get all the oppurtunity he can handle. Landing grade A 107 Singapore Sentinals - Genard Avery, LB Memphis 108 - Singapore Sentinals - DaeSean Hamilton, WR, Penn State 113 Den -5 I went on a tangent of Denver offense earlier. This guy is drafted even later Landing grade D 109 Cuba Smugglers - Matthew Thomas, ILB, FSU 110 Cuba Smugglers - John Kelly, RB, Tennessee 111 Berlin Blitzkrieg - Tarvarius Moore, S, Southern Mississippi 95 SF +16 rotational safety, may start Grade B 112 Wichita Woodpeckers - WR Simmie Cobbs Jr., Indiana Overall draft spots gained/lost Gotham +115 Seoul +9 Orlando -45 Berlin -3 Camden -22 Hawaii +6 Rome 0 Iivory +40 OKC +10 Louisiana -23 Beach +12 Wichita -21 Cuba -79 Sydney -75 Portland +43 Sing +29 thorugh IRL fourth round. slowly but surely getting there
