Hopefully this is urbz beginning the changeover. BobbyPhil1781
Yep, garbage time w/ the third stringers but threw the ball accurately w/ great velocity and got it out quickly. I couldn't care less who it was against, I just wanted to see how he threw the ball and how it looks to have a QB who is good at throwing the ball. Been a while since we had one of them. Mastercheddaar
Haskins threw amazing passes. Dobbins needs the ball more. The D-line needs to quit buying into their own hype and actually perform. Barrett needs to take off after his reads. That is all Mastercheddaar
THE DUKE
I definitely think Barrett is holding the ball in the pocket too long. Given his downfield inaccuracy, I'd say if he gets through his first 3 reads without making a throw, he just needs to take off or throw it away if the room isn't there. With how our passing attack is right now, we should be running Dobbins AND Weber 20+ times a game. If we can get a big lead on UNLV early, I'd love to see Haskins get a full quarter or more to play.
BobbyPhil1781
I can only imagine how good our offense would be if we could make people think we can throw the ball deep. Our running game would benefit from that so much.... so much...... but instead, we can settle for swing passes and anything that goes beyond 7 yards being a leap of faith......... sigghhhhhh
NateDawg
Kevin Wilson referred to JT as "adequate both at passing and running" after Tuesday's practice. I think it was supposed to be a compliment.

He's not as fast as he was pre broken leg (plus he's about 10-15 lbs heavier than back then as well), and he's never come close again to looking as good as he did against Michigan State that year too. BobbyPhil1781
We shouldn't be content w/ "adequate".

If we want to contend with the elites of the NCAAF, we need a QB that can drive down the field and make passes that Barrett hasn't been making. NateDawg
Kendall Sheffield is really bad. Edited September 23, 2017 by NateDawg
THE DUKE
Didn't get to see the game this weekend, had to coach my son's team at the same time. Did Barrett actually make throws downfield, or did our WR catch it short and run long again? Sheffield has been very disappointing. I hope we get Okudah and Wade in there more and more. Lots of short passes/intermediate. The long TD Barrett through Campbell had about 55 yards after the catch, and then several TD's inside the 10 to probably make JT feel better about himself as a passer. I'm sure JT will be lights out over the next 3 games and continue his joke of a record breaking career here at OSU and then get exposed against PSU on our own home field.
candyman93
God I wish we had Troy Smith over JT. He'd be destroying his records in Urbans system. Give me Troy, Teddy, and Gonzo and we win the whole thing. Edited September 25, 2017 by candyman93
