I'm in the first group, but so are most (at least within the engineering world). I'm an engineer and used to always stay silent, but now as a project manager I start talking before they have even finished asking. BTS broke through into the mainstream US zeitgeist. There is a consensus opinion pegging BROCKHAMPTON as a boyband. The 1975 is essential genre bending music in a boyband skin mask. Brah, you pretty much described all of dad rock, hair metal, grunge, emo, and stadium rock. They all bounce around trying to be cute for women half their age. if you changed “try to act dark and serious for men-children their own age” you’d be describing metal.
