If you like Android, the Note 8 really is an incredible phone. Ive had a love hate relationship with Android/Samsung for like 5+ years. Ive had a Note 7, Axon 7 and now the note 8 in the last year. This phone is leaps and bounds better than any other Android device out there. Incredible screen, camera, water proof. And the pen is such an x factor. I use it every day. Hell, just earlier I used it to translate Portuguese to English.

I've never owned a Samsung phone, but I always hear critics saying that the phone has a lot of bloatware and that's a bad thing.  I actually was looking at the Note 8 and it seems great.  I am interested to hear your opinion on why someone would get a Galaxy S8 over a Note 8 - as in, what advantages does the Galaxy have over the Note.  I've never owned a phone with a pen or stylus, so is that something I would actually use or is it more of a gimmick?

23 weapons now!? 1 guy. 23 guns. You do any little thing on the casino floor and they'll see it. But you can get 23 guns and all that ammo to the 32nd floor of the hotel and be there for a few days. Oh! Now I'm hearing that he even set up cameras to see when the cops were moving on him. And he built platforms. By himself! All of this. And I guess the woman at the concert telling people they were all going to die just had ESP

The guy was apparently pretty well off.  Walk into a Vegas casino with a bunch of cash, you can do basically whatever you want.  That may change a little bit now.

Easy to get guns into a hotel. Its not suspicious to have a bag and people dont want to put there bags through the ringer at a hotel. Those big travel suit can hold like a 100 hanguns. You could break down at least 5 long guns in one.

Yeah, it wouldn't be hard at all.

Those hotels have tens of thousands of people coming and going every day between the hotels itself, the casinos, the restaurants, shops, etc. Every hotel guest is going to have a suitcase that could easily hold a slew of guns.

No one is going to notice if someone is bringing an absurd amount of anything into their room if they make even a minimal attempt at being discreet.

The galaxy is cheaper, thats about it.

The note has more ram, better camera, better optimized and the pen. The pen is legit an awesome feature. I use it multiple times a day. I use it to quickly crop and send photos, draw/circle something for a text, translate. I know each person is different, but I love it.

Ya i would assume even a duffel bag would go unnoticed and you can fit a lot of guns in those to. There is no way to police that. Its just a sad reality. No way at this point to stop this.

I hate internet companies.

A few weeks ago Spectrum raises my bill for my internet.  So i call in to negotiate and they say they have no deals.  But they can upgrade me to a 60MB line for $70/mo.  I say no, i don't need that kind of speed, and i'm looking to get my bill down, not up (i was paying $35/mo for 15MB).  So i tell them i'm going to call back in and cancel once i have new service set up.

So i set up new service with CenturyLink.  10MB for $45/mo.  I have to buy a new modem, and call a service guy out to fix the box because some a-hole had cut the lines before i moved in.  Done.  Works fine.

Call back in to Spectrum yesterday and they say "oh but why pay $45/mo for 10MB service when we can offer you 60MB for $45/mo".

>:(

If you had freaking offered that deal a week and a half ago i wouldn't had to spend my time setting up new service.  Still thinking about canceling it anyway, just cause that made me mad.

Yep.

There's really no way to stop a motivated man with the necessary means.

Sad, frightening, and depressing, but a reality nonetheless.

I'm with you. First of all, I don't want to drop the kid. I don't want to be blamed when their kid turns out stupid. Second of all, I don't want that vomit and poop machine doing either one while in my arms. Third of all, I don't think that thing is cute or interesting. What do I gain by holding it? Just keep your freaking baby to yourself.

Want to hold my baby

Funny thing is, I was over in Bali last month for my honeymoon, and all the hotels we stayed at had security at them. They had bomb checkpoints for every car that entered the hotel/resort and any bags that you brought into the hotel had to go through a luggage scanner similar to the ones at airports. Literally no one thought this was an inconvenience and it took all of maybe 2-3 minutes total? Granted, this all stemmed from the 2002 bombings that occurred in Bali, but maybe this will be the incident which institutes greater security measures in the US, as well.

There are ways to police this, but they'll unfortunately never happen.
