Iggy never averaged 10ppp in the Warriors. Bogut played like 10 games the season before landing in California due to a broken foot and also never averaged 10ppp. And I know they both were great defenders, but still, I wouldn't call them major. The proof is in the pudding There's truth to what you're saying, but there are plenty of recent All-Stars who have signed or re-signed in "non-premium" markets. Aldridge to San Antonio, Millsap to Denver, Paul George in OKC, DeRozan and Lowry in Toronto. I don't know anything about Milwaukee—maybe it's so bad you're correct—but I agree with @SpeightTheVillain that the small market thing is overblown. You can be competitive in the NBA without being a destination city or major TV market. The Raptors are proving it right now. So are the Jazz.
