patriotsheatyan
Thoughts? Both have their fifth year option picked up for next season.
Chargers
Mariota yes only because Vabrel will want him back. Winston's off the field issues won't slide with a new coaching staff once Koetter and Co. get fired after the season.
Soko
I think both do. Maybe Bortles+ type deals.
dtait93
For Mariota it all depends what he does next year. The best move imo is to see what he can do in the 2nd year of LaFleur’s offense, upgrade the interior o-line, and surround him with some actual weapons to see if he can truly be the guy. If not, then cut bait with him after the year and look elsewhere.
Eagles $5$
Both of those teams are in a situation like the Dolphins were with Ryan Tannehill... You're damned if you do, and damned if you don't. Kind of forced to do so, because you spent high draft picks on them.
El Ramster
If im TN im buying low and offering him 35 mil for 7 years ala Madden.

I know you're not being serious, but Josh McCown got 10M / 1. The corpse of Sam Bradford got 20M/1. I agree they can offer a discount, and see if he bites...but 20M a year (and more importantly 50-60M guaranteed) would be really low-ball.
patriotsheatyan
If Mariota finishes this season and next year averaging 175 YPG with a Passer Rating in the 70s and some minor injuries keeping him out at times, 5/35 might be a dream for him. candyman93
Yes Because it sucks looking for QBs.
Malfatron
winston is going to be known for the guy keeping fitzmagic on the bench mariota is so tough and gritty, he will probably be be killed on the field ala his storyline
flyguy1609
Think Tennessee gives mariota a brotles type extension 3 yr can get out after 1 yr with min cap hit.. tampa may go the Andy dalton way... isn’t daltons contract basically a 1 yr deal with options? Cause that’s what I’d do with Winston, I’d do a “5yr extension” with a lot on language where if he messes up its voided and it’s basically a yr to yr contract.. riceman80
I dont see Jameis getting one. I see a complete regime change coming. Licht, Koetter, and Winston all being shown the door.
SBLIII
I think Winston is actually solid. Sure he makes some dumb decisions but he is a much better QB than Mariota. I don't think it would be smart if the Bucs don't extend.
Malik
I don't see a reason the Titans should hang onto Mariota if they get a decent draft pick or are willing to trade up. His ceiling doesn't seem high at all and his floor is pretty terrible.

Or the game before that. Or the game before that. Need better Return On Investment.
