Chiefer
Suggestions? It's not going away and the product is inferior to say the least, it pretty much guarantees the home team a win. I think the bye week has to come before the game for both teams. That's gotta be doable schedule-wise
CWood21
Don't put mediocre teams on it?
Malfatron
Make it Tuesday Night football. that way, there is 5 days until their next Sunday game instead of 4 days from Sunday to Thursday. theres nothing happening on a tuesday typically

Danger
Move it to Saturday. Yeah yeah college football. (I actually prefer College football) but just put one game on.
CKS97
Don't make it every week. TNF seemed to be less awful when it started in November/after Thanksgiving

If Tuesday replaces it, presumably you would have teams that played on Sunday playing again Tuesday?
CKSteeler
Take it out back and do the humane thing like they did with Old Yeller. Thanksgiving games worked because they were novelty and a tradition, but the actual football itself was usually subpar. Not just because it involved the Lions. You aren't seeing the best football. Even if the rare game is competitive. You aren't going to put your premium match-ups on Thursday nights. It's a dud of an idea that has watered down the product. abstract_thought
Would it be possible to build a schedule where the teams playing Thursday night are typically coming off a bye week?
Asciimo
well, id rather have football on a Thursday than not, but if they could move it to Tuesday, that'd be cool too.

DigInBoys
The easiest and most obvious solution is to give both teams bye weeks the week before.
