McDaniels backing out from the Colts job = blessing in disguise

I would agree with this. Frank Reich has engineered an offense that gradually ramped up to full speed, allowing Luck to also ramp up based on his comfort level.

If you have a QB coming off of a significant injury, you want to get your hands on this film. This was textbook on how you ease a QB in after missing significant time.

I would. Playing the long game here, and Watson (who was a rookie coming off of an injury himself) is still progressing. A few years from now with a competent OL, and I think that'll prove itself. If Greg Little/Jonah Williams has a similar impact that Quentin Nelson did for the Colts (which is to say he improves the OL significantly) then the Texans and Watson have a great shot at exceeding the Colts' passing production.

He's having a very good year. Improved OL is certainly helping, along with a defense that can actually get stops, and give him the ball back. Biggest thing working in his favor though, is the HC and OC. Frank Reich looks like the next McVay. Luck is doing a great job, and his HC is doing a great job putting him in positions to maximize what he does best.

I hate to mention his name, but I’m worried that people are going to see that Reich personally brought Nick Sirianni over from San Diego to help him run the offense and that he might start getting in the HC comversation. Maybe not this year, but potentially 2020.

Hey, there's a reason Luck was the best quarterback prospect in years. Everybody knew he'd be something with a decent offensive line.

Brett Kollman did a piece on Luck and the Colts' offensive line this week that's pretty good on YouTube.

The crazy thing is this is only phase 1 of Ballard plan. Now that the O-line is improved hopefully he continues to improve the secondary and add a few playmakers on Offense.

I didn’t expect the Colts to be in the playoff  hunt this year but with an healthy Luck Colts have a chance in most games.

I have always found the "Luck is overrated" camp hilarious.  It's almost like these people just wanted him to be less than advertised because he was so hyped as a prospect.  The guy is easily a top 5 QB in the game.  He has zero limitations, and the only negative is that he has somewhat of a propensity for INTs compared to other elite QBs.  But make no mistake.. Luck is elite.  He is a HOF caliber player who still has a solid decade left to prove it.

Good Morning Football: Weekend just fell into the hate Brady loser trap of trying to pin his success on his division opponents.

His biggest rivals were the Colts and Steelers and they lost out on home field because Brady is 8-2 (.800) against Pittsburgh and 11-3 (.786) against the Colts.

FIXED: The Steelers and Colts have ONLY had success because THEY were not in Brady's division.

Since the moment he was fed an expansion team in 2002, ManninHGH was 46-13 (.780) against his division.

  • The NFL literally removed the Patriots - Colts rivalry and set the Colts up with the Jags, Titans, and Texans.

One of those simpletons (Michael Robinson) actually said that the Patriots CHEAT on their roster because they play a weak division so they can load up for specific playoff opponents.

*This is the new stupidest thing ever said by a human on Sports Television.

  • What do you do in the other 10 games a year if you cheated with your roster?
  • How do you know what the 3 playoff teams will be when you set your roster?

Lets try to profile insane people for a minute:

Lets say Brady did deflate his roster while filming walk-throughs standing in the wrong place while breaking headsets because he coasts to 78-20 in his division.

  • How does Brady go 74-24 against the rest of the AFC and 51-16 against the NFC.
  • If you win at a .796 rate in division and a .755 vs the AFC and  .761 vs the NFC and you think the division number is the ONLY reason his team is good?
  • Oh, here is one more for you... Brady is .730 in the playoffs.
    • Does he get to face a bunch of cupcakes in the playoffs too?
    • Maybe its not fair because he does not play the All-Madden Team from Sega 1989?

They are right in one aspect, Brady is not fair. That's why he is the GoaT.

BTW:

Matt Cassel took over in 2008.

  • He went 4-2 (.667) in division
  • He lost to both the Colts (.000) and the Steelers(.000).
    • The Patriots missed the playoffs on a tiebreaker.
  • The Steelers got the bye and went on to win the Super Bowl at least in part because they did not have to face Brady.
