ny92mike
Louisiana Jazz Offense: Aim is to get the ball in Elliott's hands in the backfield 20-25 times to work the lacking defensive interior for Wichita. Then try and hit Thomas and Lockett downfield vs. fruit salad CBs, with Ertz, White, Hines and Cook all getting involves from TE and RB positions. Josh Allen will also get a few rpo/wildcat plays to make ground gains. Defense: Heavily rotating the defensive line to ensure that Fournette and Peterson aren't able to do damage against a tiring front. Coverage will feature 3 safeties, with Hyde operating as a our 3rd cb in the slot when necessary. Boston will be deep while Harmon will fly around following the ball. Barr will take Rudolph while Gilmore and Fuller erase they dudes. Plan is to blitz a bit and try to throw Goff off his game as he doesnt respond well to pressure. Lukic out. Wichita Woodpeckers Offense: We are going to be running a balanced offense this week. Wheezy has always had a solid defense, but their lack of preparation lately with the team not even showing up to the game last week is really showing. We are going to take advantage of their ill preparedness, by coming out in a 3 WR look. Chris Harris is down for the foreseeable future which leaves a hole at their slot corner as Wheezy will be forced to start annual bum Orlando Scandrick or Justin Coleman. We will have a constant rotation at slot this week with looks to Gabriel, Fitzgerald, Crabtree and Nelson to constantly change the slot's expectations with each receiver and chip away at the defense. We will also attack Wheezy on the ground with our bruising dual threat of Fournette and Peterson. Wheezy likes running 5 defensive linemen, so we will look to use Rudolph as a heavy blocker, and our WRs as well to close the edge and open the running lane for our backs. When we get closer to the end zone, the slot will come out of the game and we instead will put in Cameron Brate to provide an extra big solid guy to throw to in the end zone. Defense: This week we will be playing cover 2 zone. The safeties (Peppers and Tartt) will be playing the bondaries while my outside corners will be playing inside to provide bracket coverage on Wheezy's only two healthy WRs. Talib and Apple will be on Thomas and Lockett in that order. Smith will be playing at LBer level and will be playing Ertz' side of the formation. Kuechly will play middle to cover the crossing route and will spy the RB. Reddick will be pushed to the outside to cover routes to the opposite side of the field. We will be sending only a four man blitz as our main goal is to stop Brady and it also keeps 7 in the box to corral Elliott. DLine will cycle out as needed. Hockey5djh
Man, With such little to work with I leaned on talent, the Jizz' offense gets it done this week, I think the double TE helps both the running game AND the passing game and does enough to take the W. Ragnarok
Yup. Wichita it is. Even without a skeleton write up, I quite like the Wichita DL against that OL.
Xmad
Wichita's DL has a very good matchup here, Goff playing like a** this week didn't help but their advantage in the trenches on both sides of the ball evens it out.
Whicker
Who's Louisiana blitzing? Cover-2 zone cannot feature bracket coverage. That's Cover-2 man. If your outside corners follow the WRs deep in zone, your flats are quite literally wide open. Wichita has the advantage in the trenches for sure. Louisiana, though, wins the skill position matchups pretty much across the board. Give me Louisiana with an advantage in the run game

DingoLadd
Goff was terrible this week, Wichita's WR corps has no speed, Fournette is solid but there's no decent backup, Wichita's d-line feasts in this one but Brady is Brady so the refs will of course side with him a bit. Just a slightly spoiled stew for Wichita here.

RuskieTitan
Wichita comes out a bit more prepared, it's a close one but they squeeze out a win at home.
Scoundrel
Even with the lack of gameplan I think the Jazz would win this one as the woodpeckers don’t have much of one either.
