His job might not have been "in jeopardy", but the discussion definitely came up. Not really. He just said his views don't represent the Rockets or NBA. He didn't apologize for what he said. He didn't take back what he said. 7 minutes ago, TXsteeler said: Apparently the Rockets are now essentially censored by the state in China, he will absolutely end up being forced to resign for this. They already said he will be facing no penalties at all. And this was after they got banned or whatever in China.
RuskieTitan
Why is the entire NBA such cowards over this issue? Is money really that much more important to the owners and players over basic human rights? Pathetic.

It isn't complicated and there aren't other perspectives. He knows this but he was either completely ignorant of how facist and quick to censor China is and is now trying to save his job, or he is being forced to do damage control by higher ups. 1 hour ago, 11sanchez11 said: They already said he will be facing no penalties at all. They are just lying about it and will force him to resign. The only way he doesn't get removed is if the backlash in America becomes too big. The list of things they can't actually already afford is basically just two things, their own kingdom of people and their own army. They aren't just cowards but evil cowards.

animaltested
Morey poked Big Brother Panda Bear with their buckets of ducats. I think Morey MIGHT get quietly released and/or "resigned". The amount of genuflecting and groveling businesses have to do to keep Big Brother happy is both insulting and hilarious. Historically, this is nothing new though.

Yes but, if the NBA can fully tap the market, the owners are one step closer to affording those things, therefore its totally worth it /s.
