Opposing quarterbacks would be better off throwing the ball away than targeting Green Bay Packers rookie safety Darnell Savage. No, seriously.

According to Pro Football Focus, Savage has allowed a 10.7 passer rating on throws into his primary coverage this season. For comparison’s sake, quarterbacks are credited with a passer rating of 39.6 when throwing it away. Even more impressive is the fact that Savage has made as many plays on the ball when targeted (one interception and two pass breakups) as receptions he’s allowed (3).

And, by all accounts, they love playing for this team!  Damn glad to have em!

Please tell me y'all saw that interview with the Smiths before the Dallas game. I like how they're using their veteran maturity in policing the locker room...

from Wes Hod on twitter:

Za'Darius Smith felt like he had "13 or 14" pressures against Carolina on Sunday.
Coach Mike Smith charted him for 14.
PFF had Smith for 12.

Whatever the number, Mike Smith said "this was one of his best games. When you're doing that, you're affecting the quarterback

I was impressed by the stamina of those edge guys .. they brought it play after play and kept the heat on.
