y*so*blu
QB play has been an issue since Week 2 and so have the simple mistakes, but the elephant in the room is the running game. The Guardians have failed to establish themselves on the ground in all of their games, which makes it that much easier for opponents to pin their ears back and swarm McGloin (who lacks the athleticism to make something out of nothing) or Williams (who displays little accuracy or chemistry with our talented receivers). Until they fix that, it won't matter much who they start. Edited February 23, 2020 by y*so*blu
Here'sJim
Love the atmosphere at the game. Crowd is really into it, players are passionate about playing, and there are a lot of great plays happening on the field. More fire here than any game of the AAF. NY does look like a team going south quickly due to ineptitude, however. Might get ugly near the end of the season for them. Edit: nice 58 yard field goal as well lol! HoboRocket
Dang. On the one hand, Williams has been brilliant at avoiding and breaking sacks to keep the play alive. On the other hand, he's clearly lacking in chemistry with their skill position players and his accuracy isn't good enough to compensate. Cook and Victor are both some of the better looking RBs league-wide this year, yet over three weeks New York has barely any run game (though Damien Mama has done a good job of paving holes on dive and sting plays so far). DC is experiencing the same issue, but DC has a top-3 QB and multiple top-5 WRs to carry the offense. New York doesn't have the type of passing game that can create offense at-will that DC has. I DO like elements of New York's defense and think there's the upside there for them to be a top-3 unit league-wide. Ben Heeney has looked great in the middle so far this season. The Guardians would just be an average team if they didn't keep having these implosions brought on by "leaders" having toxic personalities, or inability to work under pressure at the very least.
BayRaider
XFL should market the hell out of P. Walker for the remainder of the year. And then to create hype for XFL's 2nd season, Andrew Luck comes out of retirement for "one" season.
HoboRocket
Luis Perez already looks so much better than the other two New York QBs. I still like Marquise Williams's escapability, but Perez has already shown much more anticipation and ability to see the field than both McGloin and Williams, which is very encouraging for someone who has been labled as raw. y*so*blu
To-do list for my team: 1. Get a running game. 2. Give Perez more chances behind center since they have nothing to lose. 3. Cut down on the mistakes and fights and start playing pro ball. 4. Seriously, get a running game. St. Louis is going to be a force in the East. Hopefully the Abbreviation Bowl (L.A. vs. D.C.) is more competitive!

y*so*blu
The Wildcats have started very strong here. I wonder if they can keep it up.

y*so*blu
Complete first-half blowout! Would it be fair to call this an upset if the 'Cats win? Three weeks into a new league, it's kind of hard to say.

They have arguably the deepest WR corps (or at least second-deepest; DC is also very deep) featuring arguably the best WR in the league. They played week 1 without their starting QB. The defense looked good all of last week and the offense started to look really good late against the Renegades. The signs were there. Not that they'd be this dominant, but that they'd at least play a competitive game against DC.
