I think Seattle would be far worse off without Wilson than Baltimore would be without Lamar.

Except that's not how voters vote on MVP. It's never about the most value to the team. It's about who is the best player on the best offense in the NFL.

I'm not disputing that. Lamar will for sure win MVP.

If most valuable is best stats on one of the best teams then its Lamar Jackson.

If its who's team completely falls apart without them and a replacement level player in their spot, its Wilson.

Either way Lamar Jackson is the clearly the offensive player of the year.

Lamar is going to win the MVP voting and he should win the MVP voting.

We all know his job was much easier than Russell Wilson's

If you add playoffs and factor them appropriately its Wilson in a landslide.

In my opinion:

Baltimore may have won 10 or 11 games with RG3 this year.

Seattle would have won 4 or 5 games with RG3 this year.

Switch those QBs and Seattle goes 9-7 while Baltimore stays about the same (with different stats) and wins a playoff game.

The Ravens like themselves enough for everyone. We don't have to worship any of them.

I understand what PFF is trying to do, but literally zero MVP voters think of the MVP award as the guy who contributes the most to winning. MVP goes to the leader of whatever the best offense in the NFL was.

Except in the case of a legendary offensive season on a playoff team like Adrian Peterson in 2012.

I don't see how he contributed more to his team than Lamar did for the Ravens.

Lamar Jackson could be argued to have had a better defense to lean on and at least a slightly better line to help in blocking (Ingram had 5.0 YPC to Carson's 4.4)

To build off this, Seattle had one of the higher passing efficiency ratings, while having one of the worst pass blocking units in the NFL.

Russell Wilson was a quarter inch away from sweeping the 49ers, with guys like Travis Homer, Jacob Hollister, David Moore and a rookie WR that cant run routes being important offensive targets. And who knows what happens in Green Bay if Malik Turner doesn't drop that pass.

Here is something to consider; in the last few weeks of the season and playoffs, Germaine Ifedi was probably the 3rd best offensive player (Non Russell)

I agree.

Objectively, Seattle really wasn't a very good football team - what we did to them the 2nd time we played is about how I view this Seattle team in terms of talent.

So the fact that they won 11 games - and 4 of their losses were to the Rams, Saints, Ravens and Niners - is a minor miracle. Not only that, but the Seahawks won a playoff game and came within one possession of a 13 win team on the road in the divisional round.

Simply put - they played better in the playoffs than the Ravens did.

Which brings me to another point - playoffs should count toward the MVP discussion. There's a Super Bowl MVP - but not a "playoffs" MVP. Pet peeve of mine in all pro sports.

I'm struggling to see the games they win with RG3.

Bengals - losing in 4th quarter before Wilson threw a TD pass

Steelers - Wilson went 29-35 3 TDs and they won by 2

Cardinals - probably win

Rams - won by 1 point with Wilson going 17-23 268 and 4 TDs

Browns - went down 20-6, Wilson brought them back

Falcons - won by 7 points, offense shut down in 2nd half

Bucs - won in OT with Wilson going 29-43 378 and 5 TDs

Niners - surefire loss without Wilson

Eagles - possible win

Vikings - loss

Panthers - won by 6 with Wilson going 20-26 286 and 2 TDs

I'd say they would have won 2 games - Cardinals and possibly the Eagles.
