Making the movie a fantastical musical allowed the writers/director to place music or events wherever they wanted and not have to go by a historical timeline. Egerton was excellent, and if Malik can win all the awards for playing Mercury, then Egerton should win as well(or at least be nominated). I won't give away the plot, but all I can say is that this has been a VERY GOOD movie! I highly recommend it to anyone who likes war movies.
