A lazy, uneducated fan hears something years ago - or maybe even last week from another lazy, uneducated fan - and without bothering to look for themselves, they proclaim it as truth. Rams defense is lights out right now... Ideal: a 3rd part wins. Both options are like a NFC east team winning. They're horrible. Refugee
3 hours ago, Leader said: I've got a local angle on Tampa - I live here. As such, I've had a local take on the entire evolution of the organization from back in the old NFC North days of Majik/Favre versus the Sapp/Brooks led Bucs. GB was their litmus test. Their first hurdle. Their hated rival. They needed to get past us before they could be respectable - hence - I came to hate losing to them (and they had some decent teams.....especially on defense.....like now). So - there remains that personal "I hate to lose to that team" aspect which for me is greater than with CHI, MN and DET. It makes beating them more enjoyable as well. So - its a double edged sword. I live in SF so definitely get a close up of how the team is doing, evolving etc. over the years. Our recent (15 years) history with them makes them a true rival. I feel the same way about losing to them and beating them but not as much as I relish beating the Vikings or the Bears. Minnesota, because they get so arrogant anytime they kindle a flame but have never won anything and Chicago because of the history rivalry and what it means to the entire league. I want the Bucs. Ever since Manning left Tom's biggest challenge was going up against the corpse of Big Ben to get to the SB. Welcome to the NFC Tom. Would only be fitting Aaron ends his run on the frozen tundra. This is kind of where I am too. I live in the Tampa area and have been enjoying all the new "longterm" Bucs fans. They punched us in the mouth, but we have been playing a lot better, and facing better opponents IMO. I'm not too worried about them. Get old man Brady out there in the cold, and lets have a day! I don't think this team fears anyone right now, and I love that.

I just know I fought that "likely" battle with other posters so I'm on edge about it lol But definitely agree TB is more likely than any other individual team (not the field) and have always agreed with that

I like St. Pete more to be honest, and smaller areas like Dunedin, and Safety Harbor. I don't go into Tampa much except for Ybor, or a lightning game here and there.
