Nothing weird about that. It's a very accurate statement.

You could argue the first part about Doug being a good coach or not if you want to.

Sorry, he didn't say that. I was saying it the normal way. The way he said it was weird.

Great day for Doug Pederson to be honest. You get your full salary and get paid not to work, and you aren't strapped to Carson Wentz. That job is as undesirable of a job as I've ever seen in this league right now with the cap/QB implications.

To clarify Eagles are also $75m over the cap.

Just curios FF.com, am I still a "hater" because I said Pederson is not a top 5 HC? Thats what yall labeled me last offseason.....

I think he’s a good coach who was a victim of the salary cap and a charlatan quarterback. Plus Frank Reich is the man. Then again, I’ve had that opinion for over 25 years.

What does he do that is good?

Player development under him - - terrible

Locker room unity/leadership - - horrific, players hate eachother

Play calling after Reich - - - extremely mediocre to bad

Picking Staff - - - a total joke

Writing books that we can meme him for - - Excellent

To add to all this...justified or not, the Eagles just fired a head coach three years after he won the Super Bowl.

So coaches seeking some job security will be hesitant taking a job there, too lol.

I think you have to give him credit for assembling a team, rallying them behind an injury to an MVP QB and winning a super bowl, and helping usher in the RPO era. After that, he gets a lot of blame, but I blame Wentz for most of it.

Excuse me good sir, he did not get an MVP. Unless you mean foles?

And again, that was Reich's doing.

and helping usher in the RPO era.

Again, Reich made the game plans. What did Doug do?

You blame Wentz for his staff hires?

You blame Wentz for lack of HC leadership?

You blame Wentz for lack of talent development?

Hell, do you blame Wentz for a very questionable strength program?

You blame Wentz for allowing their roster to get old as dirt?

On Monday, the Philadelphia Eagles made the surprising, but otherwise predictable decision to fire head coach Doug Pederson.

What the **** does "surprising but otherwise predictable" mean?

Maybe he means that most people outside of the organization would have fired him, but its surprising that the Eagles actually made a move that most would agree with.
