Then, yesterdaywesay a great performance of the Shanahan offense of the '90s Broncos. Those teamsost games too. Fans were frustrated when they did lose. But, in the end, the HC, the OC, the QB the rest of the offense and that D won the right games. As long as Kubiak keeps it rolling, this team will put up points. That is, with Mattison playing, instead of Cook, Kubiak called a more balanced game, rather than the run first philosophy that Zimmer has promoted. So, my overall thought is, having a dynamic back like Cook starting, has kept the play calling more conservative because you want the ball in your best players hands. Frankly, I think this is an offensive team, at this point. We've given up the 5th most yards and 13th most points in the league. Our offense seems to be a bit more reactionary (we turn it on when we're behind, instead of jumping out to quick leads), but I don't see the problems as being on the offensive side of the ball (other than the atrocious number of penalties against the Bengals). He needs more seasoning as a coach to be OC. He shouldn't have gotten the job right away as he is too predictable. He made better playcalls this last game, and hopefully he can keep it up.
