With this move the only way I see them saving their jobs is Trey Lance...with a trade up he is the QB who probably goes 4th off the board and he is probably the one who would create the most excitement in terms of long term upside...they are going to need to be bold and super aggressive to make it happen...there is no other choice now. You could be right about that. That might be exactly what they are thinking in bringing in Dalton too. It makes sense. Dalton is the guy who won't give fans what they really want, which is a deep playoff run or possible Super Bowl win, but if he is there as part of a master plan for the future that gives the fans hope, then Pace and Nagy might see that as a way they could justify staying around. It does make sense.

Which has nothing to do with Dalton...can't just keep hitting people over the head for a decision a year on when they are at least trying to rectify is...not even sure why you quoted my post since you took nothing from it man. Dalton and Foles are statistically very similar, and Dalton at his peak was not as good as Foles. Add all the weapons you want, Andy Dalton was never that good. You said that Dalton was better than Foles. Dalton still sucks. The fact that he is better than the pathetic move last year is not a positive for Dalton, it is a negative for Foles and that horrendous trade. You can when those people should have been fired and weren’t. You can when they continue to make pathetic moves at the same position over and over again.

Again Dalton is far from ideal but he doesn't suck and can't be compared to Foles...the Foles move has nothing to do with this one other than the need was still there... Either way they need to trade up for a QB.

yomyyo
Pace's ginger fetish is dictating his quarterback signings. Too bad he didn't have a good quarterback kink.
