Malfatron
reminder to keep it to football. Focusing on stats per game because Colin played longer. Colin definitely has Tebow beat when it comes to bulk stats like yards. Tebow has a better INT percentage and more TDs per rush. Colins LNG to INT is 45:5, which is a much worse ratio Playoffs Totals Glossary Passing Rushing Rk Player From To G QBrec Cmp Att Cmp% Yds TD Rate Lng Int Sk Yds Y/A AY/A NY/A ANY/A Att Yds TD Y/A Lng 1 Colin Kaepernick 2012 2013 6 4-2-0 94 162 58.0 1374 7 87.3 45 5 11 58 8.5 7.96 7.61 7.12 51 507 4 9.9 58 2 Tim Tebow 2011 2011 2 1-1-0 19 47 40.4 452 2 90.0 80 0 5 28 9.6 10.47 8.15 8.92 15 63 1 4.2 14
Uncle Buck
Apples vs. Oranges. Although they played the same position, it is going to be difficult to compare these two players for many reasons. It's no secret who I would take.

ET80
Kaepernick. I feel as if there was a base to work with - his mechanics were solid, you just had to work on his anticipation and when to throw with touch. His athleticism was elite, too - so investing time to teach him anticipation and touch is a good investment. Tebow? You had to break down everything as a passer. The athleticism didn't justify the effort either, IMO.

BayRaider
Uhhhh…. Kaepernick was a below average QB, probably quality backup (teams figured him out after 2014, not to mention he lost like 30lbs of muscle mass after new HGH rules were implemented…. lol @ “vegan diet”, same year Manning fell off a cliff too) Tebow was a horrendous QB and shouldn’t be on an NFL Roster as a QB. This one is not close, it would be Kaep. Although neither are starters at any position in this sport. Edited May 13, 2021 by BayRaider
MagicMT
Yeah I'll take the guy who had 85 TDs compared to the one who had 29. Or the guy who averaged more than double the yards of the other. Or just the QB who completed more than 5 passes a game... Tebow was an awful QB
DutchFalcon
I'm confused. Why is this thread comparing a TE to a RB?
KingOfNewYork
I would lean towards the guy with the better winning percentage and all time great intangibles. Tebow has things you cannot teach and he elevates those around him.
PatriotsWin!
Kap is better of course. But Kap doesn't have his former coach in the NFL willing to sign him. Tebow shouldn't be on a roster, but he got lucky Urban is the coach of the Jags and has a boner for him.
AFlaccoSeagulls
For all of Kaep's faults, this comparison is an insult to him and basically any other QB. Tebow was awful and those graphs even show it. This thread is a joke.
