Colts’ Carson Wentz returned Monday from foot injury

"Refuses to acknowledge that he even has a foot."  If I had a foot I'd be bragging to everybody!  Seriously though, I wonder if this is going to be a season long injury?  It's starting to look like Wentz is one of those unfortunate people who just has a body that can't hold up to the rigors of playing in the NFL.

This is in response to Wentz showing up to training camp with a mask on and when he was asked whether or not he was vaccinated he refused to answer and said it was a personal matter

Oh OK.  That was kind of misleading.  Anyway, for Colts fans, I hope he recovers soon.  Good luck.

? He missed only 3 games due to injury the last 3 seasons.

He is super injury prone no matter if he misses games or not.

The guys with the personal matters on that issue have had a rough week, from Sam Kendricks to Michael Andrew and now Carson Wentz. I can't say I'm upset about it. Quite the opposite.

Looking at his history I wouldn’t call this super injury prone. It’s not good either somewhere in the middle tbh.

According to the link *you* provided, he is considered "Very High Risk", 10% of injury per a game and predicted to miss 3 games before he actually got injured.

How exactly is that not super injury prone? The guy has been injured or recovering from injury almost every game his career.

Every game? wasn’t he relatively healthy the last two seasons? The concussion he had was a dirty play what could he have done on that play.

Wentz played 16 in year 1

He played 16 in year 4 while getting destroyed on a bad team that he led to the playoffs anyway.

  • There is your stats vs wins argument season for him.
  • Yes, Clowney knocked him out in the playoffs on a cheap shot. (clear helmet to helmet that also forced a helmet to ground collision)
  • Everyone who thinks a concussion is injury prone should pull a Gus Frerotte.

He played 13 like an MVP in 2017 and had 2 guys snap his ACL like a twig. Every human gets injured there.

He played 11 out of 14 in 2018 after he came back from that ACL injury. He got slammed in the back and got a stress fracture.

He played every snap in 2020 until his about to be fired on a dumpster fire team coach benched him (on merit)

Wentz was bad but the team was awful. (this draws praise for Andy Dalton for some reason when he does the same)

He tweaked his foot. Do we even know that its going to take longer than 6 weeks to heal?

Dak has 69 starts through 5 seasons.

Wentz has 68

I think the Eagles should have kept Foles and got a ransom for Wentz in 2018 and I also think he is butter soft mentally but he's human, not injury prone.
