Johnny Nix
Honestly the one player who scares me the most in this matchup is Jerrick McKinnon. The Bengals are going to be playing a lot of bend but don’t break two high cover 2, gonna be a lot of space for him to get some big yards. If the Chiefs start hitting short passes that’s gonna create some shots to Hill and Hardman.
y*so*blu
I'll be rooting for the Bengals, but if KC's offense is on point I don't think they have much of a chance.

These are facts, I did not create the facts, they merely exist and I am writing them here Titans game Ten ran ball on 50% of 1st and 2nd downs in first half, gain 3.4 YPC and -0.19 Henry runs into 8+ man boxes on 55% of his runs First 3 quarters the Ten offense averaged 8.2 yards to go on 3rd down. Second most yards to go on 3rd down all season! 1 of 8 on Third down with -1.1 EPA (awful) So, they made it fairly easy for Cinci with their dog poop play calling Bengals D overall Last time Bengals played a top 15 pass offense prior to playing KC in week 17 was the LAC. Herbert put 9.1 yards per attempt, 317 yards, 3 TD on it. 11.4 yards per attempt on 1st and 2nd down Bengals have played loads of teams that run heavy on early downs, including the previous two teams Prior to facing Mahomes, they've faced: Josh Johnson, Baker, Carr, Roethlisberger, Jimmy G, Drew Lock, Josh Johnson again. Ranked 10th worst against pass this season Since week 8, they were allowing 56% success rate on early down passes (those QBs mentioned above),6th worst in NFL. 8 yards per attempt (third worst in NFL), allowing 13% of passes to gain 20+ yards on 1st and 2nd down (dead last in NFL) Who have they played since that murders row? Got destroyed by Mahomes, who scored TDs on all 4 of the first drives, Carr who had never played in a game this cold ever, and almost wins. Then Titans, who we've established went run heavy all from Warren Sharp. …ouch. game depends on our D, IMO. No one has hit more home runs than Burrow this season. (TD passes 20+ yards), if we even limit half of his attempts and force punts, we WIN

McKinnon will be used on 3rds and if Pat rolls out away from design (which he will, plenty). Kelce thrives when teams cover 2. Right in front of the 2, behind the LBs typically. Probably need a robber or something, jam him up at line. Edited January 29, 2022 by BigTrav

El Ramster
There’s no way the Chiefs defense stops the bengals. Joe Mixon finna eat eat.
pf9
This should be a divisional battle in the AFC North

BayRaider
I’m picking Cincy for no other reason other than I’m a Raider fan. At least I’m honest. With that said, the Bengals CAN win this. They need to come up with some protection schemes, and also do a lot of what they did in the first game, with a quicker start. While the Chiefs have the better QB, the Bengals offense has skill players for days. They need to keep Mahomes off the field. Get everyone involved, including the run game with Mixon, and keep scoring.

Good idea! He’s below his usual par when teams get physical at the line with him

From worst team in the league at 2-14 for the 2019 season to the AFC Championship game for the 2021 season. This doesn't seem real and yet it's happening. It's what an elite franchise changing QB can do.
