Getsy was the offensive coordinator and wide receivers coach for Moorhead in 2018, more than a decade after playing for him at Akron.

“He had an incredible level of preparedness, of work ethic, of loyalty,” Moorhead said. “He was working with receivers rather than quarterbacks, he was an expert of fundamentals and techniques. He quite frankly did a great job recruiting, too. All the things that have allowed Luke to have success at the NFL level, and why it’s made him a great choice for the OC position for Chicago, are the same reasons that I brought him on at Mississippi State.”

Getsy returned to the NFL as Matt LaFleur’s quarterbacks coach with the Packers in 2019, before getting promoted to passing game coordinator in 2020. His main responsibility was third downs, and Moorhead could see some familiar concepts, while also observing how Getsy’s own offensive portfolio was growing beyond Moorhead’s system.

Wtf are the jags doing??

They are a complete and other mess...this is yet more power struggle...Baalke knows that if he doesn't convince a veteran coach to take a job under him Khan will get frustrated and sack him before brining in Adrian Wilson & Byron Leftwich...Bisaccia is the perfect guy to target since Baalke can point to how well he did in disfunction last season to sell it to Khan...Baalke is a scumbag who only cares about his paycheck and not about driving a franchise into the ground.

I know people love Bisaccia for the job he did as an interim HC, but his ST units weren't extraordinary in Oakland or Dallas.

They maybe weren't amazing but they were always rock solid...give me the guy who can help a first time HC navegate the NFL and produce a solid/good special team over an awesome ST coach anytime.

I'd have beem fine keeping Tabor as the ST coordinator and giving Bisaccia the flat title of Assistant Head Coach. COVID causes screwy situations and that would gove us someone who could step in at HC or STC for a week if one is out for testing positive.

NFL leaders in '11' personnel (3 WR, 1 RB, 1 TE) this season:

1. Rams - 85%
2. Bengals - 78%

This is what we will see out of Getsy next season.

If so then one would think Kmet will be expected to have a significant role, but that TE2 will be more of a secondary or tertiary budget item this offseason.

I’m not a Horsted stan, but I wonder if Getsy doesn’t find a way to better use his skill set (which is to say, to use it at all). Kmet/James/Horsted, plus a blocking specialist TE? Just looked, and GB hasn’t rostered a true FB the past few years. I did like putting Tonga in at the GL I’m week 18…

Jaguars are interviewing former Raiders' HC Rich Bisaccia today for their HC job, per sources.

This could be a spanner in our plans.

I thought Leftwich was a done deal?!?! 😧

I have no idea. Apparently, they don't either. But then again, they hired Urban Myer, so I suppose I shouldn't be surprised at that.

He was a very good HC. Contextually, that's all that matters. Davis was a moron to not make him the permanent HC.

I hope not. Want me some FB action.

I hope over the next couple of days we get the announcements for the rest of this staff…the defensive side we know what is coming but I would like to see us bring in some guys on the offensive side…especially OL coach and QB coach…down at the senior bowl you really want those guys there to look at those prospects.
