Not sure what the gif is about?

Even those who don't think Tua is a starting-quality QB don't deny that he's a very accurate passer.

Yeah, there a lot of things you can dislike about Tua but his accuracy is definitely not one of those things. Just goes to show some folks’ ignorance about the guy.

Probably more about the "in space" part. Tyreek is aware that Tua has averaged well under 7 yards per attempt this far? Things are just as likely to be ridiculously crowded as they are to find open space.

Granted, that could very well change. Just saying, he's accurate, but he also isn't exactly stretching the field.

As far as Tua goes, he's near the bottom of the league in that regard (ahead of Josh Allen, ironically, but that's an exception).

Hmmmm… I guess Mahomes is an exception too.

I guess that hot weather in Miami is going to prevent them for separating and finding open space.

All this shows is you get your playmakers the ball in space and they will make plays happen. You don’t always need to push it down the field. Also an upgraded OL will help with that.

The scheme last season was very much focused on short passing plays as there was virtually no pass protection. Regardless, "in space" just means getting the ball to the receiver with no defenders around. It's not really a long or short pass thing.

Cos Hill is levels above Waddle. I’m talking about this from Chiefs angle mainly.

Sure, last season. Waddle just finished one of the best rookie WR campaigns ever though, and is just entering his prime at 23, while Hill is 28 and will be on the decline soon enough. Would make no sense to give Waddle up for Hill.

That said, I half expected Devante Parker to be included in this trade. There's been some buzz about us wanting to move him.

Upgraded OL should help.

Until that's shown to be true though, getting to "in space", long or short, is a tough ask of even great QBs when blocking is bad.

That said, I'm merely opining what the previous reaction may have been about as it's not a matter of accuracy.

Tyreek Hill is going from the QB that had the 5th-shortest average pass distance in the NFL last season (Patrick Mahomes, 7.02) to the QB with the 4th-shortest average pass distance (Tua Tagovailoa, 6.92)

Anyone else find this ironic? For as much crap as Tua gets for throwing short passes due in large part to the complete ineptitude of his OLINE's inability to block mind you (not arm strength).

Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs were right there with him on average depth of throws?

Yeah you'll get that when teams have 8 people playing deep coverage.
