Rumour: Giants looking to trade WR Kadarius Toney

And here is the backpedal

Pat Leonard has a history of 'reporting', and directly advocating, that any Giants player with a personality is to be traded. Granted, it happened last time, but the financial details all pointed to this likely not happening, at least this year.

Maybe Kenny Golladay finally reached him.

Golladay and Shep said they were gonna reach out a few days ago. They didn't know he couldn't get the playbook until he showed up in person. Hopefully that is what struck a chord and made him show up.

Shocker. Giants "shop" a player drafted in the 1st rd from only a year ago, find out they will not get back any compensation remotely close to what they spent. To then back track and say "Giants view him as a valuable asset. ". Makes sense. 🥃

Is Schoen the GM or is Gettleman back?

Schoen has always said Toney is a valuable asset. Though I wouldn't blame the Giants if they were shopping him, there's no evidence of it. It's possible someone in the organization "leaked" that rumor to put pressure on Toney, essentially forcing him to break his silence and show up.

Either way, it looks like he's sticking around. But thanks for worrying about us. 😉

Too high for even Deebo. But it's better than what the Jets can offer. I would just take lineman with both 1sts and set Danny up to fail (although O-line help doesn't hurt).

Maybe with a revamped OL, we could see a resurgence from Saquan? Get his value up and move him?

NYG is in a good spot to draft an OT at #5 and then maybe move back from 7 to a spot that allows for an IOL or another position in the first and use the added pick to add an OL draft pick

I won't be surprised if these trade rumors persist after we drafted essentially a smaller and less problematic version of Toney in Wan'dale Robinson.

Can't really go wrong with it though. Maybe it will motivate Toney and we'll have two impossibly athletic receivers. Or Wan just replaces him and Daboll's scheme keeps on ticking.
