I thought Toney was a reach at 20th overall, but was he really so horrible?

He’s proven he has top notch electric ability. That has to be worth something, even though he’s been absent from the team at times and been unable to develop his route game.

At the very least he can just be a more finesse version of Cordarrelle Patterson and all you have to do as a team is make him show up.

Any team interested in Garrett Wilson imo should at least call about Toney for a mid rounder. I think a late second is a winning bid. Obviously if they failed him in interviews last year then don't offer, but surely a handful of teams are pretty interested.

Realistically. what's his trade value right now? A 3rd?

Honestly, I'd bet lower. Incredibly little leverage on New York's side. Only reason for it to work that high is if a bidding war develops. But, a team clearly looking to unload him will raise enough red flags to deter a good chunk of teams.

Red flag galore.

Yup, if a team is willing to get rid of their top 20 pick 1 year into his career. Something is majorly wrong. Which is going to make me even more upset when he gets more value in a trade than Baker 🤣

ahhhhhhh somebody put me out of my misery

Im offering a 4th for him and see if he works in arthur smiths system.   His upside is probably worth a 4th round pick at this point compared to other WR's in this draft.  I wouldn't go 2nd for him as i think their are as good if not better WR prospects than him in the 2nd round this year and maybe even 3rd round like Metchie, Pierce, and possibly Tolbert.

I'm offering a fourth round pick no matter who I am and a mid-third for just about anyone else. Assuming he's not about to get charged with a crime etc., this is potentially an opportunity to buy very low.

My only thought against trading for him is team dynamics. Is he a bit of an Isaiah Wilson or Antonio Callaway where he is talented, but  it motivated to play football teams.

Collecting talent doesnt win games, great teams win games.
