Scouting the NFL 2023 Draft Prospects

I would hope the plan is to spend the pick on a LT.  It's generally speaking the second most important position on offense, and unless NPF looks like he'll be a stud there, it's a position we can't really afford to whiff on.  Bust rate in the middle first should stop whatever the hell we're doing wrong with second round caliber guys if the FO just stops trying to get cute and take the top talent.  It's a boring pick, but it looks like we're about to be in full blown rebuild, so take the cornerstone position.

If NPF looks like he can be the answer at LT, then they still need to spend some high picks on OL, but then, just take whatever offensive player is the best available (minus RB).  Whether it's a TE, a WR, or an OL.  Just get a good offensive player.  Then do the same thing with the next two picks.

The biggest thing, though, is that I really, really hope they change up what they're doing in the scouting department.  Wilson was forgivable, because he was a mental miss, and that's understandable in the early Covid era.  But Radunz is looking like a huge bust too, and that's just unacceptable when like 3 out of 4 of the next OLs picked after him have turned into great players.  Something has to change there or they'll just keep missing.

We really need a high pick investment in pass rusher, but the offensive needs are too many and too great, and Malik's development is too important to spend high on anything other than offense.  We effectively have two starting OLs of the future in NPF and Davis.  Everything else is a band-aid, and that's a recipe for bad QB development.

The optimist in me is saying that, since the 2022 class looks very good so far, while the 2020 and 2021 classes are awful, that that means the Titans saw what they were doing in the draft wasn't working, and they changed some personnel and some of their decision making.  And that we'll see more of the good stuff going forward in the 2023 draft.
