Tyrod Taylor was a middle-of-the-road QB when he was traded to Cleveland. He had thrown just over 1200 passes, and his best year by ANY/A was his first season starting. He was a very low-end starter, high-end backup QB. Just for comparison, that $15.5M AAV would rank as the 14th highest in the NFL last year among QBs slightly above Tom Brady.
