Not really. Mostly lateral, but some of you overrate certain players. Swapped out role players for role players in my view. Got rid of some injury plagued guys. Got some young guys with upside that could go either direction.

Only real spot of concern for me is LB. Perryman, when healthy was a great in run defense. That is a weak position group and not deep in the draft.

Should be able to upgrade CB and Dline in the draft improve the overall depth.

If she don’t believe in me like you believe in Ziegler, I don’t want it.

Why couldn’t we have been the team to sign them when the price went down?

Seumalo is a bit overrated. Played on a vaunted Eagles Oline. In 7 years with the Eagles, he only played 10 or more games, twice. Roseman values trenches more than any GM and let him walk without hesitation. There were even rumors he'd be released after his injury plagued 2021 season.

He's was a buyer beware product and not worth 8 mil per in my view.

His contract was mostly fluff. He has a $3.6M cap hit this year and they can move on next offseason with only 2M in dead money.

In terms of free agents that could've helped us:

Nate Davis (3 yr/$30M), Isaac Seumalo (3 yr/$24M), Conor McGroven (3 yr/$22M)

DL: Greg Gaines (1 yr/$3.5M), Dante Fowler Jr (1 yr/$3M), Andrew Billings (1 yr/$3.5M) plus there are still guys like Clowney, Ioannidis, Harris, Robinson, Brockers, etc. on the market.

LB: David Long (2 yr/$11M), Kyzir White (2 yr/$10M), Denzel Perryman (1 yr/$3.5M), Drue Tranquill (1 yr/$5M), Devin Bush (1 yr/$3.5M), Nick Morrow (1 yr/$1.1M) plus there are still guys like Dupree, KVN, Barr, Jack, Floyd, Cunningham, etc. on the market.

DB: Byron Murphy (2 yr/$17.5M), CGJ (1 yr/$6.5M), Donovan Wilson (3 yr/$21M), Julian Love (2 yr/$12M), Jabrill Peppers (2 yr/$9M) with a ton of guys on the market still too.

These are all JAGs or worse. Role players depending on your preference, scheme and culture fit. Most either re-signed with their current club or followed a coach to a new location so were not readily available.

And as you mention, still several JAGS available that you can get in the bargain bin post draft.

Averages 8 mil per year. 6+ guaranteed. Overrated player and his soft market reflects it.

He got the third largest deal for an OG in free agency and is set to be the 18th highest paid guard in the league. He was the 10th best guard in the NFL last year according to PFF and all of the Eagles players spoke highly of him. I think it was fair value.

Most teams move on and start allocating money elsewhere, it's not like you going to know if someone else is going to give him 60mil or not and you're just going to wait. At this point they probably drop their price 2 or 3 times until a team with money left says ok we will pay that. You sit around hoping the top guys drop their price and nobody give it to them you'll be stuck with nobody.

Has the draft happened? Clearly, they are going to add likely 2-3 players on defense in the top 100 with potential to start.

All these comments, with no mention to the fact the roster is 6 months away from needing to be complete.

Sign Myles Jack and Zach Cunningham for cheap. They could bounce back..

WLB- Jack

MLB - Cunningham

SLB- Spillane

depth- Deablo, Masterson (they could also challenge for starting spots).

6th LB- butler or a rookie… that would look a lot better. Jack or Cunningham are cheap at this point 2-4 m. Instead of being back Teamer 1.5, Bolden 2.5, Cole 1.5m , Abdullah 1.8m all that money would have better used towards talent at LB core. SMH Dave and McDaniels

Spillane is a MLB, he's going to replace Perryman and Deablo is likely going to start at WLB. We need a SLB and and depth behind the starters.
