The Lions are not in any way drafting a TE who can't block at #18. They don't need a safety badly enough to take one in the 2nd. And Ivan Pace isn't terrible but I'd be very disappointed if they took him while Daiyan Henley was still on the board.

This. Detroit can't pass on guys like Kancey, Murphy, even Nolan Smith for a tight end high in the first round of a very deep right end draft.

I say somewhere in round 3 or 4 we need to target a WR not a TE.   The 1st round pick im meh on i don't dislike Paris i just don't really see taking a backup tackle as a 1st round need at this point lol.   If we are taking a round 1 lineman then im probably going Skoronski as i think he is much better suited to the LG position than Paris is.    Although im taking Witherspoon at CB over both of them and it's not even a debate on my end :D

I love Mcdonald in the 2nd as im a huge fan of his and think he will be a great player at the next level.

Round 3 is fine with a Cb there but as said if i had my choice of Spoon in round 1 then im taking a WR in round 3 here with a guy like Mingo.

Round 4 I see we got Vorhees which is a very good OG prospect and sorta makes the LG 1st round pick not needed as much.

Here is probably the draft top to bottom i go with based on who fell to us and was available at each pick that fit our needs and also is BPA which is how Fontenot prefers to draft.

1st - Witherspoon - CB - #1 Db in draft and top 6 player imo you can't go wrong with that if the top d-lineman are gone.

2nd - Mcdonald - Edge - As said i have a bit of a draft crush on Mcdonald i will never not be happy with getting him on the Falcons.

3rd - Jonathon Mingo - WR - Fits our WR mold type while also still being a bit of a speedster for his size.

4a - Andrew Vorhees - OG - As said i think Vorhees is a much better value and player than round 4.  I have him as a mid to late 2nd round talent.  Love getting him here to pair next to Matthews.

4b - Byron Young DE or Michael Wilson WR -  I might double dip here at one of those 2 positions just because of the value offered for both players.  They both fit our scheme well and i think they are late 2nd to early 3rd round guys.  Would be well worth grabbing one of those 2 dudes for elite quality depth.

Dream draft, but I can't see Laporta being there that late. Would not surprise me at all if he somehow managed to be the third TE taken.

I think LaPorta falls.  A little smaller than the top guys, a willing blocker but a flawed one.  Most of his hype is what he can do once the ball is in his hands.

#31 - Chiefs - Josh Downs, WR UNC

Not just no. Hell NO!!! If it must be a WR go with QJ.

  1. The Chiefs have made moves to fill out the WR room. The headliners are MVS, Kadarius Toney, and Skyy Moore. They brought back Justin Watson. He's a glue guy, blocks very well and was 3rd in snaps for a championship team. They also signed Richie James from the Giants. That's five legit WR so reaching in the 1st is contraindicated. Day #3, sure. Use the first round for an OT, DT, Edge, even TE but make sure it's for full value and not a 20 pick reach. White, FAU, Harrison, Mazi are better than Downs.
  2. Tuli is good at #63 but should not last that long.
  3. McLendon is meh. An athletic project is what you want at OT. Better to take a TE or double dip on pass rush.
  4. Brown is OK but you should put Brooks there and see what falls
