minutemancl
Everyone remembers "the dream team", but I'll also never forget that 2015 Eagles team. Eagles fans went NUTS after Sam Bradford's preseason game against the Packers.

MWil23
The Cowboys every year The Chargers every year since they fired Marty The Browns in 2008 and 2019 The Dream Team Eagles The Jets about 3-5 separate times. And to be honest, I don’t get the fascination with Baltimore this year. People have already assumed that Flowers is legit, OBJ is a year without football and his skills were diminishing already, Bateman is closer to a huge bust than he is breaking out, and they just paid Lamar an absurd amount of money considering he’s never thrown for 3200 yards in a season and has steadily declined over the past 3 years. HoboRocket
2018 Rams, pretty easily. They added Ndamukong Suh, Marcus Peters, Aqib Talib, and Brandin Cooks to a team that surprised many the following season with a worst-to-first offensive turnaround, and a standard Wade Phillips season on defense. The OL suddenly looked great after the acquisitions of John Sullivan and Andrew Whitworth the prior seasons, Roger Saffold and Rob Havenstein were coming off career years. Robert Woods had played excellently the year before, they added Super Bowl champion Cooks, and Cooper Kupp was coming off a great rookie season. There was still lots of hype around Gerald Everett's potential, too. Higbee and Josh Reynolds were supposed to be high end depth. Jared Goff had an awesome season the prior year, and Todd Gurley bounced back from an underwhelming 2016 to win offensive player of the year and 1st Team All-Pro in 2017. The Rams added a HoF talent in Suh to a defensive front that included reigning Defensive Player of the Year Aaron Donald. Peters and Talib were supposed to be a lock down duo of star CBs. Everyone was complaining that they'd be another Dream Team and fizzle out. Ended up fizzling in the Super Bowl.

There's an overhyped fascination with Baltimore this year…? Is anyone hyping them up remotely close to what this thread is about? Almost everything Ravens this offseason in the media has been Lamar contract drama-related And unlike most offseasons, we haven't been lauded as a "draft winner" by most pundits, and we're currently sitting 8th in SB odds at +2000...barely edging out the Detroit Lions and behind the New York Jets and Dallas Cowboys lol https://www.rotowire.com/betting/nfl/super-bowl-odds The Bengals are like almost unanimously being chosen as the division winner, too. Don't see a fascination with us at all tbh...at least not one relating to the context of this thread and "most hyped up preseason teams ever". That's a massive reach IMO. I feel like you should have to have better than the 6th best odds in your own conference to win the SB to qualify for this thread haha Edited May 31, 2023 by Ray Reed

DontTazeMeBro
2020 Ravens. Pundits were predicting 19-0. They almost never have the balls to do that. The word dynasty was getting thrown out there.
August4th
2006 Ravens. The addition of Mcnair was a huge story that offseason. I say they lived up to the hype, just got tripped up by the colts defense at the worse time Edited May 31, 2023 by August4th
