7DnBrnc53
Bum Bright (the owner of the Cowboys in the 80's before Jerry Jones). He was too much of a wimp to fire Tom Landry. So, he sold the team to Jerry Jones (despite higher bidders) because Jones said he would (and did) fire the long-time coach.

Kiwibrown
They haven't had an elite quarterback since forever. Haven't only a few elite players and never an elite side of the ball.

By my count, there are at least 11 teams with much longer streaks than this 10,000 days (and that isn’t even including the Texans, who haven’t been around for 10,000 days). Where’s the discussion for those teams? Why don’t we look at those owners the way we look at Jerruh - a guy who took $140mm and built up the most valuable franchise in sports at $6.5b? Not trying to defend the Cowboys here, but some of you in your glass houses need to throw up some curtains before you comment.

FrantikRam
The problem with the Niners and Cowboys are that they were for the most part, dynasties that were able to happen because we weren't in the full blown FA era. Brady came along and messed this concept for a lot of people, especially teams who have had dynasties before. If you want to get technical though, the Steelers drought was worse. They went 26 years from 1980 to 2006 - the Cowboys may have them by a few years now, but given that FA during that stretch wasn't nearly what it is today, I'd say it's worse overall. However, the Steelers did make and lose the Super Bowl during that span at least, and may have experienced more success during that span in general. Zero Super Bowl appearances in between.
