y*so*blu
I heard that June 15th marked the 10,000th day since Super Bowl XXX. So it's been 10,002 if you want to be really particular. About 25 years. There are Cowboys faithful who have been born, grown up, had kids of their own, and started 401k's without ever seeing this organization win a championship. Despite an intensely loyal fan base, some of the best talent in the league, and unrivaled national influence ("America's Team" and all that). Why? August4th
it's hard to win one they've put out some solid runs since their last SB tho not making a conf title game in that span is what sticks out. Terrible postseason luck

WheatieMan
It was the playoff win drought, now it’s the NFCCCG drought. I don’t know…. Just a bad, prolonged stretch. Luckily, the NFC is terrible so they have a chance. Hurts tears something, San Fran takes a step back, could be their year.

notthatbluestuff
49ers, Raiders, Dolphins, Washington etc haven't won in even longer. Eagles went significantly longer than 10,000 days before winning one. Patriots likely won't win for another 10,000 days. It's been more than 10 years since the Packers won; same for the Steelers, Giants. Winning ain't easy. candyman93
Everything has to go right for you to win just 1 Super Bowl. Very realistic possibility the Cowboys never win another Super Bowl. It’s just the nature of the sport.
TVScout
It is hard to find a great QB. It is hard to find coaches who know how to call plays that work. Edited June 18, 2023 by TVScout

Cardinals have been around the longest of any still-going pro football team; they haven't won a Super Bowl for all 20,620+ days that the big game has been around. Warhorse
Jones is a rock star business owner. He seeks out rock star players. Rock star players do not see life as a "team" thing.
MWil23
Short answer: The salary cap. Jerry could stockpile elite talent everywhere and was willing to pay everyone, which is actually refreshing for an owner, speaking as a Cleveland baseball fan. That said, it’s his great equalizer.
stl4life07
Jerry Jones. He is that black cat running around that building. What could go wrong will go wrong. Short story. I think it’s hilarious though that every year I hear so called experts continue to say “this is the year the Cowboys will finally break through and get back to the Superbowl if not flat out win it”. The Cowboys haven’t even been past the divisional round since they last won the Superbowl. Can they at least get to an NFCCG before we start talking about a potential Superbowl shot? But hey anyone bet on the Cowboys will continue to give away their money. It’s a sucker bet.
