If they’re bring him back, I guess I fail to see the point of releasing him in the first place.

Cutting him created ~$700k in dead money both this year and next. While it saves ~$1M. Bringing him back, even at vet minimum, would only result in around $100k in savings.

I think it has more to do with releasing guys who are not practice squad eligible (and no real risk of not retaining them after 1-2 days). They don’t want to have to release young players (they may like for PS until the last possible moment, if at all). On top of this they juggle around Timing for placing players on IR

Isn't Kene just on the IR where they can return after 3 weeks? I don't think he is done for the year.

As far as I remember, Nwangwu's injury is only sure to keep him out a couple games.  So, he can return after 3 weeks.  His injury wasn't anywhere near the severity of a season-ending one.  Wasn't it a slightly-pulled hamstring or some kind of non-severe muscle pull he just needs to rest?

I believe Mond is vaccinated too, even though he supposedly got COVID. If Cousins gets COVID, and Mond is a close contact he wouldn't need to miss time because he himself is vaccinated.

Mond was not vaccinated at the time he tested positive. And he hadn’t yet gotten vaccinated when he came back to practice.

Having Cousins and Mond unvaccinated makes me nervous about this team this year. It's like Michael Irvin stressed to the Cowboys in the offseason. If you're serious about getting to the Superbowl you can't set your team back over something like this. The unvaccinated on this team haven't been upfront about their reasoning. We suspect with Kirk it's about religion, but other than that, take a wild guess.

Whether your Right-wing or Left-wing you can distrust your government but it's not taking into account the entire world that has also been dealing with this. To think this is some world-wide conspiracy or something -- I've failed to understand that. People from all walks of life have been vaccinated and it's being proven that almost all of the severe cases of Delta are due to the unvaccinated. I have an 8 year old kid and I don't want him getting Delta.

This isn't a political post so I don't want to hear about it.

I always find it absurd how they treat the specialist positions, as if they are throwaways that are easily replaced.  What happened the last time we took a Steelers punter right before the season?  He ended up not much better than what they had, if even at all...and now they bring in the guy that beat out Wile in Pittsburgh 3 years ago.
