Mossburg
Serious question with no hyperbole involved. Who is a worse player in the entire NBA than Carmelo? You are basically forced to give this man minutes because of who he is. If he was some regular scrub with no name you'd easily just bench or send him to the D-League. But you can't not play him without there being a scene. He is literally worse than the actual worst player in terms of skill and intellect in NBA history because that player would be immediately released and the team would be instantly better. What team and what scenario can squeeze any value out of him? On paper playing for D'Antoni has to be like the ideal place for almost anyone who isn't a total stiff to maximize their ability. I'd wager a serious amount of money that Wesley Mathews shooting open 3s for D'Antoni would be an infinitely better player than whatever Melo is right now. Possibly, but this dude plays zero defense, is a catch and shoot 3pt specialist who thinks he is Kobe, and makes more game sealing mistakes than prime JR Smith. And he makes $18 mil a year. At least with Melo I can hope for a throwback game once every 5 games.

Best you can hope for is him making more open shots than missing. He isn't physically or mentally capable to contribute to the team in any other way. One of the biggest fallacies in the history of sports. Luka also took a full-steam LeBron elbow to the chest and hit his head on the goal, and played through it. It was more of a joke. still it this modern NBA, it helps to do some weight training.
