Both Mayock and Gruden went to bat for him way more than I would have, but he finally chose a helmet and it looked like he would play. They think they are bigger than the sport, the team, the owners, etc. It's only getting worse. Gruden didn't want to pay a standup guy who is among the leagues best player. And here we are.
