Sure if you have a plethora of good DBacks you can do well. But one great corner can impact the game far less than one great DLineman. A good QB is just going to throw to literally anybody else unless that great corner messes up, it just results in QB's throwing to other guys instead.

It's not a theory, it's fact.

Well once again, Mack was a beast and his defense was bad. You need a plethora of good DLinemen too, there's no magic formula.

The legion of boom had a better secondary than Dlinemen and one of the best defense of the decade.

Your Eagles already got a good Dline too, so I'm not sure what's your point. Your defense still sucks (and they did last year) without good CB play.

I dont understand what you're hoping to get in the next two drafts, I would think of a stud DB nah?

Everything you said makes sense but we arent settling for a trade. They’ve made it clear they arent trading him if they turned down other offers we’ve heard. Cant imagine they will take less than what they turned down. I dont think they are trying to get more, i think they just want to keep him and pretend everything is okay...and it’s not

Oh yeah I get that and I agree. I’m simply saying in a scenario where Ramsey sits out the entire season because of his “hamstring/back” that “continues to get worse” so that he needs to see a “specialist in Europe” (there’s always a specialist over there) then in the offseason the Jags trade leverage will be shot (in comparison to what it may have initially been).

The only ways I can see Khan “winning” this situation is if a) someone gives multiple 1sts to the Jags... which at this point with PP and CHJr now seemingly on the block, I can’t see happening or b) the Jaguars are able to resign him to a record breaking, but reasonable deal. Which I doubt one year with a new President/Coach (assuming they fire both Coughlin and Marrone) changes his mind. I’m sure Ramsey will be the type to still want to go into free agency and explore what other teams have to offer him. And in that situation the Jags are left with only a comp 3rd.

I think it’s a mistake for the fact I can’t see a win “in sight”. But that’s just me, Khan clearly sees things differently.

I understand why some people say just to deal him for whatever is the best we can get.

But, like, we have plenty of control and considering the time of the year the request came in changes things. If we werent looking like a potential contender in the South then sure, but that changes things. We didn't prepare to be without our best defensive player and top corner over an off-season and trading him during a playoff race for picks isn't doing anything for us. There's no reason to rush to move him if we don't get something we like...not this early. If he was a soon to be FA then sure...that changes some things.

Chiefs fan here. I would prefer so much my team trading a 2nd for Patrick Peterson rather than trading for Ramsey, especially for 2 1st round picks.

Thing is, Steve Keim looks like a stubborn man. He looks like he wouldn't deal PP for anything short of a clear overpay.

The Eagles lost Avonte Maddox to a neck sprain after a scary play against the Packers last week, as well as Sidney Jones to a hamstring injury in the first-half of a win over Green Bay. The Eagles already are without Ronald Darby, Jalen Mills and Cre’Von LeBlanc for at least a few more weeks.

That leaves the Eagles defense with only three healthy cornerbacks — Rasul Douglas, Craig James and Orlando Scandrick.

To be clear that's a PS player, a Player who was cut and a FA less then 3 days ago and our 5th string CB Starting vs the Jets! 🤣

He has the Eagles over a barrel desperate for CB help so either Khan is playing a hell of a game of Poker (3 1st) or has absolutely no intent on Trading Ramsey.

Part of me is like F-it. Take the offers they are turning down and go talk to the Broncos, Cards or Dolphins and see if they bite!!

This situation is going to go from bad to worse, Ramsey has made it clear he wants out and the ownership has made it clear they aren't going to let him. The Jags are just going to lose leverage as time goes on as these phantom illnesses and injuries no longer work as valid excuses.

Hoping the Eagles start looking elsewhere imo. Ramsey is great, but as mentioned above there are plenty of guys in the league who could be had a much cheaper price.

Jags should be very publicly calling Ramsay the best corner in the game and very publicly giving out an ENORMOUS asking price. 3 1sts and a 2nd etc.

Give the kid some respect, make him understand how much he's valued, if the relationship truly IS unsalvageable then everyone (including Ramsay) knows what it'll take.

I think Chris Harris Jr would be a great fit for the Eagles.

We need a boundary guy, not a slot. I know he can do both, but his value is definitely higher as a slot guy, IMO.

No doubt, I just think he's the perfect veteran to go along with that roster. I think he's a great leader when given a competitive team. He and Sanders are very good leaders. Should net a 3rd when he walks so it's a bit of an overpay, but to trade in division that's probably the rate I think it would be great for both parties.

I wanna see him get another ring tbh.
