Should We Trade for Jalen Ramsey?

  2. 2. If We Do Trade for Him, What's Acceptable to Give Up?

    • No 1st rounder; 2nd and 3rd rounders only or similar compensation
    • One 1st rounder, he's a special player.
    • A 1st and 3rd, he's a special player
    • Two 1st Rounders. What 2 picks in the Draft could we Get that's Better than Jalen Ramsey? He's a pro-bowl, all-pro, all-world athlete who loves the game and he's young. It gives us a true 1. I believe in Denzel and Greedy looks good but you just can't pass up an opportunity like this. The Draft picks we'll have will be lower in the 1st anyway.------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    • Nothing. Don't Trade for him. We have Denzel and Greedy on rookie contracts. We can use our picks on other needs. Plus he's a big personality. Plus we'd have to pay him big money.

I’m not scared of him being a head case here. The reason I voted no is that it just means we are giving out the assets to improve in areas that strengthens our weak areas far more prominently. I would imagine the price will be two first round picks or a first and a second depending on what the trade competition is. I don’t think we can afford to do that given that our quarterback position is actually pretty solid where it is. Our OL is not, and we have other positions that are really in question.

No thanks. Depending on how the OL plays the rest of the way, we very well may need a few new offensive linemen next year. Can't be trading valuable picks away in that case.

Plus, Ramsey is gonna want to be paid a ton and we've got our own players we're gonna need to pay soon.

There's no doubt he's a great player, but we'd need to sign him to a big contract to keep him, and we've already got a few players whose contracts will be up soon. Since we're already strong at corner, I'd rather not use the cap space there, and have still have our picks in the early rounds to address OL.

If we do trade for Ramsey (which I doubt we will), then I could possibly see Greedy being one of the pieces traded to Jacksonville.

Yeah I’d give up a 3 or 4.  That’s about it tbh.

Hell, I could live with two 3's even, but Dorsey would be nuts to pay more. 2020 Iooks good for OT's. I'm holding onto my 1st rounder for one of them, even expecting to probably have to use a 2021 pick to move up some. My focus this next off season is LT, OL, TE, n DL.

My off season:

Cut: Kirksey, Carrie, n Hubbard

Resign: Tretter, Schobert, n Randall

Sign FA: Eric Ebron, Jack Conklin

Draft: LT in 1st, DE 2nd, SAF 3rd
