Packers & Eagles Postgame

Got to go to this game. Haven't been able to chime in because I'm up North. Everybody's got an answer. The defense sucks. We can't run the ball inside the five. We need to draft this guy. Why don't you all just take a moment and look at the biggest statistic every week. We lost the turnover battle. Philly got two. We got zero. That was the difference in the game.

And the redzone performance on both sides of the ball.

And getting our a$$es kicked in the trenches on both sides of the ball due to injuries and such.

I’ll never fault people for wanting to improve the team (we are weak at a few positions). With that said yes, this wasn’t a man overboard loss by any means. Tos are important. We essentially had 3 (had 2 tos and one failed 4th down attempt). The fumble lead to an easy td, and the red zone fails lead to missed points. We outgained Philly pretty significantly, just they scored tds on all their scoring drives. We’ll rebound.

Here's my question:

-Can the kickoff unit pull its head from its own *** and NOT allow a massive return? Or avoid kicking the ball out of bounds? Those were killer.

Just catching up after being out of town and oddly enough, out of internet.....

This.  This thing exactly.  That Eagle game turned on our two special team mistakes.

We struggle to get the ball downfield and score points.  But...GB is doing it.  And doing it well.  Defense has gotten a few stops.  Bend, then stop.

Then we blow the coverage on a kickoff.  Short field, Eagles get points.

We struggle to get 3 points, but we do get them.  Kick off again.  Out of bounds.  Another short field.  Another drive with points for the Eagles.

Momentum gone.

This was the same special teams crap I saw the last 5 years or so.  The first one was that crappy kick it to the goal line, high, and stop them before the 25.  Only that never works for us.  Whoosh, there goes the return guy.

Next one?  I really hope it wasn't that crappy kick it high and to the side and pin them on the return.  Because that doesn't work for us either.  And...I haven't heard, but that looked more like a missed kick to me.

Either way, those two crappy special teams plays took all the momentum from GB.  Inexcusable.

Yeah, getting the best (feel free to submit arguments for Watt and Donald) 3T in the league would have been pretty awesome

Would like to know your opinion.... Back when we drafted Kenny over Chris Jones, I was upset because Chris Jones was my guy that year. If you could go back, do you still take Kenny? Kenny is super young, but Jones is only 15 months older.

Davante Adams is gonna be out yeah?

At least on the Cowboys side Tyron Smith will be out, should make your pass rush MUCH easier. And Zeke had a really rough time last night.

I'm putting Zeke and Prescott on my fanduel team at work.

I seem to be the jinx for everyone I take.

Took Mahomes last week, zero TD's.  Kelce.  Meh game.  Marquisse Brown, did nothing.

Week before?  Saquon.  And he got injured.

Yah, Zeke and Prescott are most certainly going to start for me.

I wish your sample size of failure were larger. I'd have more faith.

Kenny Clark career stats....48 games.  148 tackles.  12 sacks.  6 passes defensed.  Current age: 23.

Chris Jones career stats....52 games.  110 tackles.  26 sacks.  17 passes defensed.  Current age:  25.

Stats don't tell the whole story, but Chris is a pass rusher.

Kenny eats more space.

I'd prefer Chris every day of the week as I feel you can get space eaters later.  And I mean no disrespect to Clark, who is a fine player in his own right.

But Chris is better now.  But...I have no doubt we would have killed his career early when here.  As we did a lot of higher drafted guys on the defensive side, so there is always that.  I honestly can't believe Kenny developed as he did given what happened to those other guys.

I was the one who took Leveon Bell second overall last year in my league. (Which is why I switched to FanDuel.)

Remember this year when Brees got hurt?  Yah...he was on my squad.

There have been just so many over the past few years that I can't remember them all.

I have a knack for finding those sleeper guys who put up decent numbers for no salary, or very low draft slot.  But my big guys typically bust the week I take them.

You know, I could make it interesting and put in Zeke, obviously, but then also put in the Dallas defense.  In fact, that Dallas D would be the way to work this.

Kenny's a space eater that can rush.  As good as Jones is, that's even rarer than a good penetrating 3T.  I don't think there's a wrong answer here, depending on the defense you're running.

Kenny Clark is a fine player.  And still ascending.  No issue with the pick at all.

But Jones is flat out the better player.  For a non space eater, or pass rusher specialist, Jones makes plenty of tackles, while posting a ton more sacks than Clark.

You are right, there is no wrong answer as both are very good.  One is just flat out better than the other.  ...for now.  Things can change as Kenny is still quite young.
