they suck

teams that suck shouldn't be in the playoffs

playoffs having better teams increases the quality of the playoffs

It happens every once and a while where a division has a bad year. Doesn't mean the whole system needs trashed. If you win your division you SHOULD always get a home game.

Getting into the playoffs is plenty. You should have to at least have a winning record to host a home playoff game.

Can't agree. If you want a home game, be the best in your division. Very rarely do you get a 7-9 sub .500 team winning a division. If the team is that bad, the wildcard team should beat them. Plus it is the playoffs anything can happen.

It's basically just a participation award at that point. Give it to the more deserving teams.

The NFL would have to change the rules, then.  Division winners should get a home playoff game.  Sometimes it happens were the best teams are in the same division.  It's like that in basketball right now.  The Lakers and Clippers are the two best teams in the western conference, imo.  Both teams play in the same division - Pacific Division.

If it happened to where Seattle had to go on the road to Philly or Dallas, they should be able to win that game.

Not trying to make any sort of zany predictions or anything, but if the Eagles were to make the playoffs I think they’d play any team in the first round tough. Simply because the Linc is such a tough place to play at in January

Are the Redskins still mathematically in the race for the NFCE?

Cowboys already have a better division record than the Redskins, if they lose out they're 6-10, Redskins win out and they're also 6-10. Tiebreaker still to Dallas. Redskins are done.

Ok thanks.  Sounds like the Eagles just need to find some receivers.  The cupboard is getting bare at that position for you guys.

Our cupboard is empty and we've already bought some used and cracked dishware on craigslist that isn't lasting too long.

We also need a couple corners.

I don't feel like getting into this again but I'm not sure I can agree.

People keep saying that winning your division should always equate to a playoff birth (home game or not), but frankly, outside of tradition, I don't really see a strong compelling reason why that should be the case.
