Not only do I think Eagles boast a much better HFA in January, but for west coast teams that is going to be a longer trip, bigger timezone gap, etc. Good point, I would hope that this would be the late game on Sunday in this scenario if its the 49ers and that its the early game on Saturday if its the cheathawks

49ersfan
Current playoff standings 1. 49ers (11-2) 2. Packers (10-3) 3. Saints (10-3) 4. Cowboys (6-7) 5. Seahawks (10-3) 6. Vikings (9-4) In the hunt: Rams (8-5), Bears (7-6), Eagles (5-7) Big wins for SF, GB, LA, and CHI. It might be too little, too late for CHI. LA has a chance to catch MIN or SEA depending how things shake out, but they'll likely have to win out and even then could need some help. SEA upcoming schedule - @CAR, AZ, SF MIN upcoming schedule - @LAC, GB, CHI LA upcoming schedule - @DAL, @SF, ARI SEA has relatively easy games against CAR & AZ. MIN is a good team but LAC can be fluky and beat anyone, and then have 2 divisional games against surging teams. LA is playing inspired ball, toughest game against SF, but it is not a gimme for SF (and i'm a niners fan). Could LA go 10-6/11-5? MIN has to be on their A game and SEA can't afford any upsets, otherwise LA could steal one of their spots Even with a loss tonight on MNF, Eagles would still only be 1 game back. However, time is running out, and its time to start winning. At home vs the 2-10 Giants facing Eli in what are likely to be the last 4 starts of his career is a great opportunity to gain some ground. Games to watch next week - CHI vs GB, SEA vs CAR, PHI vs WAS, DAL vs LA, ATL vs SF, IND vs NO

The Chargers worry me the most but as long they execute a similar gameplan to Detroit it should be relatively simple. I like thier chances in wks 16 and 17 at home (6-0 at the Bank this year)

El Ramster
I need to the got damm Vikings to lose 3 straight. No one wants to see them lose in the playoffs with COUSINS. The easiest out in the NFL besides the cowboys in the playoffs. Cousins isn’t made to go at teams with a above .500 record. And no im not mean. It’s facts and the numbers check out. I’ll sig bet any Vikings fan whose down to put it down.. 1 year sig bet if the Vikings get in and win a playoff game or 2 I’ll wear a sig of their choosing for a year! And vice versa for me. But of course not a single one will take that bet.
tyler735
Saints, 49ers, Packers, Cowboys all win their divisions. Seahawks, and Vikings will get the wildcards. It seems there is a drop in quality after these teams, and I don't see any of the teams below the Vikings and Seahawks catching up. Magnifico
Packers might end up with the #1 Seed and a Bye, and I don't even think they're the 3rd best team in the conference. Funny how it works, kudos to them as I don't think a single team wants to go to a freezing Lambeau field in January.
Uncle Buck
I've been messing around with the ESPN Playoff Machine and I really think there are two games that will decide things for us, and both of them involve the Chicago Bears. Their games against Green Bay and the Vikings are up in the air as far as I'm concerned. I think we should both be favorites against the Bears, but the way the Bears have been playing the last couple weeks, I think they are capable of beating either one of us. Ultimately, the pivotal game is going to be Bears @ Packers next week. If the Packers win, it doesn't matter what we do, we will be the #6 seed. If the Packers lose, we would end up as the #3 seed (assuming we beat the Bears the Week 17). Strangely enough, if the Bears beat the Packers, we could actually lose to the Chargers next week and still win the division, assuming we beat Green Bay and Chicago (which I think we will do because both of them are home games for us). Then again, I'm basing things on how I pick winners/losers and based on my record in our Pick 'Em game, my picks and a dollar will get you a cup of coffee. Anyway, here's how I see it going for the final 3 weeks of the regular season: http://espn.go.com/nfl/playoffs/machine/_/results/401128108~1~401128113~2~401128024~2~401128103~2~401128117~1~401128031~2~401127900~1~401127946~1~401127935~1~401127941~1~401128040~2~401127975~2~401127938~2~401127980~1~401127983~2~401127991~1~401128038~1~401128020~1~401128071~2~401127955~2~401128094~2~401128099~1~401128028~1~401128056~1~401128060~1~401128065~2~401128068~1~401127901~2~401127898~1~401127937~1~401127893~1~401127903~1~401127896~1~401127904~2~401127906~1~401127910~1~401127943~2~401127933~2~401127909~1~401127988~2~401127950~1~401127990~1~401127973~1~401128033~1~401127978~2~401128034~1~401128036~1~401127984~2 Week 15 Atlanta @ San FranciscoChicago @ Green Bay ???? (Edge to Green Bay - playing at home and having something to play for). Indy @ New OrleansSeattle @ CarolinaLA Rams @ Dallas Week 16 LA Rams @ San Francisco New Orleans @ Tennessee ???? Green Bay @ Minnesota Arizona @ SeattleDallas @ Philadelphia ???? (Picking Dallas here just because I don't like the manure eaters in Philly. Both are bad, so who cares who wins?)Week 17San Francisco @ Seattle ????New Orleans @ CarolinaGreen Bay @ Detroit Washington @ DallasChicago @ Minnesota ???? (Edge to Minnesota - We don't lose in US Bank Stadium & Bears will be packing it in for the season). Games with ???? could go either way. I feel reasonably certain about the rest of them. You may agree or disagree with my picks, and I can understand if you do. This is just the way I see it as of now. The Week 16 game between New Orleans & Tennessee is an interesting one. The Saints are the better team and should be favored, but Tennessee has been playing well lately. They could very well be in a situation where they get into the playoffs as the #4 seed in the AFC if they win, and if they lose, they are on the outside looking in. They will be HIGHLY motivated and playing at home. For New Orleans, they will remain the #2 seed in the NFC whether they win or lose that game. The Week 16 game between Dallas & Philadelphia could very well decide the winner of the NFC East. Who wins is really of little consequence to the rest of us because I see either team going 1 and done in the playoffs. Some of you may think Seattle should be favored in Week 17 at home against San Francisco. I just don't see it. I think the 49ers are the better team and their defense should keep Seattle's offense in check even in Seattle's stadium.
showtime
If the Vikings go 2-1 and finish 11-5 and the Rams finish 11-5, the Rams would get the final wildcard spot, right? If so, the Vikings vs Packers and Rams vs Niners are essentially playoff games.
