pacman5252
The stat people hate GB but they haven’t been watching the whole games. They’ve gotten leads, gone into prevent on D, and don’t have the O to go for the throat, thus they win games and lose star battles (total yards and ypp). They’ve had double digit leads in 10 of their 12 wins this year in the 4th. Their 4th quarter yard total is horrible but it doesn’t matter since it is mostly due to game flow

But they would be toast without it.

I think thats the stat. May be twelve, but it's somewhere around there. It's a brutal hill to climb

This is generally not a good recipe for winning Super Bowls. Teams that win Super Bowls are often the ones running up the score and destroying their opponents by multiple touchdowns. It's not a matter of stat people liking or not liking certain teams, it's that historically, Super Bowl teams obliterate their competition into a smoldering pit of nothing every week. You have outliers like the 2007/2011 Giants, but generally speaking, the teams that win championships are the ones destroying their competition 42-3 every week. It's not outright impossible to win a championship with a grind it out type of team, but your odds aren't looking good for it.

Last year the Patriots got stomped by the Titans and Lions and also lost to Miami & Jacksonville. The 2015 Broncos won a ridiculous amount of close games. The 2014 Patriots got stomped by the Chiefs on SNF. The 2012 Ravens finished the season 1-4 headed into the playoffs. Do I think the Packers will win the SB? No. But pretty much any team that can secure a 1st round bye has a chance. Edited December 24, 2019 by Bolts223

Most quarterbacks are their situation / circumstance. It's not acknowledged enough. There are very few elite quarterbacks that can overcome their situations; that's what makes them elite.

Because from what I seem to recollect, the top offenses in the league tend to fall short come playoff time. So if you've got something, I'd love to see it. RandyMossIsBoss
It's crazy that the Packers, who have been a very good team in 2019 but certainly have not dominated for stretches like the Saints or 49ers, have a probable chance at getting the 1 seed. Only the 4th most talked about NFC team over the past month (arguably 5th), and here they are poised for 13-3 and a bye. I certainly think they are a less impressive team than the 49ers and Saints, but they have the recipes for success. They play good D, control the clock, and they still have a HOFer at QB even if he hasn't looked the part.

Not having Cook tonight didn't help but your O line had no answers for our pass rush. Cook most likely will be back for the post season but if your line plays like this it won't matter who your RB is.
