Teams rarely carry someone whos just a returner. He can’t play WR. 150 pounds wouldn’t hold up and he hasn’t played it yet.

Our ST coordinator made a point to emphasize how much we needed to improve there.

A good returner can get a touchdown or two during the year, and lots of big yardage returns. That could very well be the difference in a game, which could impact the playoffs. We could be 9-7 instead of 8-8. Point is, if he's good, we would be idiots to cut him just because he's "only a returner". The Hilliard/Landry experiment as returners is hopefully over with. He was brought in to be a legit threat as a returner. Nothing more and nothing less. As long as he doesnt completely crash and burn as a WR he will have a spot on this roster opening day. candyman93
Am I the only one who likes that no press conferences are happening? No dumb questions from Grossi is a nice touch. I feel like the NFL is a better product when you take away some of the unnecessary dumb stuff.

They normally would come very soon after the tampering period when the moves become official. This year may be different due to the coronavirus crisis though. Only 4 WRs on the Vikings saw more than 100 snaps. 3 of them saw over 400 snaps. Prolly were lucky to see that cause Thielen was out for 6 games. If we get done to needing to use our 6th WR on offense, we faced some injuries, so a roster spot will prolly be freed up from IR placement. browns really need a dangerous return man. A great returner is a lot more valuable than a potential WR that won’t even see the game at this point. So I wouldn’t just write him off yet
Pruitt3443
How dangerous is he though? As far as I can see he has never returned any type of kick for a TD in the NFL.He averages just over 20 yds per kick return and 7.5 per punt return. Not exactly talking about Josh Cribbs here. LETSGOBROWNIES
I like the signing personally. We’ve needed a legit returner since Benjamin left, if this guy is that, great.

Well cribbs is. HoF type returner with how good he was. So we shouldn’t expect that. Dude was also not a full time returner for the Ram. im just glad they are going after a legit returner. Past few seasons we were just throwing guys out there like Jarvis or OBj
