I was operating solely on what Mike asked me to do yesterday which is can I do the draft for Panthers because they could not get ahold of BDP. That is it. Drafting includes making trades. He's a tough one to value, because he's not that classic stud MLB in the Kuechly mold that i would normally be okay with that high. But if you're a team that has the right situation, and a staff that's got a great plan to fully utilize Simmons skillset...he has the potential to be a real impact player, and kind of "erase" certain types of "matchup problems" on any given week. If your defensive scheme is flexible and creative enough though...that's the key. Makes me happy, as he went early and wouldn't have really been a fit for the Jaguars anyway...As much as i like him as a player.
