sshle_
Bruce has always had success with a veteran quarterback running the offense. His personality seems like it would fit perfectly with Rodgers. Did the Packers make the mistake of going with Matt Lafleur?
Sasquatch
Arians made it publicly known that he didn't want the GB job after MM was released, so there's that. Whether he'd have been a good fit with Rodgers, well, I guess after Brady finally retires in 5 years (or two), Rodgers will probably be looking for another gig and maybe we'll find out. MacReady
Bruce Arians fizzles out after three years. He does, however, have Aaron's number. 2015 - 38-8 victory as head coach of the Cardinals (Aaron was 15-28 for 151 yards, 1 TD, 1 INT) 2015 postseason - 26-20 victory. Rodgers was 21/44 for 261 yards, 2 TD, 1 INT. Aaron's game was significantly worse than those numbers. Remembered for his final drive heroics, that was also a game where Rodgers was saved by a questionable penalty on the Cardinals, without which Patrick Peterson would have had a pick 6. Bruce Arians is Aaron's kryptonite for sure. Everybody is Pettine's kryptonite, so that wasn't surprising either.

tredpack
 Arians offense is going to get Brady killed by the end of the year. See the Bears game.

Everybody loves flashy ILB play only because it slows Aaron down, but there’s a reason the Buccaneers defense looked like it sucked against the Saints. The Buccaneers are a matchup nightmare for the Packers.  Smart veteran QB, fast aggressive defense.

But I keep going back to this. 1. How many more games does Rodgers hand a team 14 points? 2. Our O-line may have played their worst game in years, I don't think they touched White or David all day in the run game. With that being said, personally didn't agree with the play calling. I would've trotted out Williams/Dillon and run straight at those ILBs. We kept doing these outside runs, played into their strengths. Didn't understand that. Would've had Jones play a more involved Ervin role. Easy to say now. I'd like to play them in Lambeau. Lafluers offense, in my opinion, is perfectly suited for Rodgers.
Rodjahs12
Yeah give me the guy in his mid 60s who’s suffered numerous health episodes over the guy who’s barely 40 and likely has 20 years left to his name
Malfatron
I think a younger coach with more energy is better than Arians, especially nowadays MLF is a great coach. We need a top notch D coordinator though
{Family Ghost}
Arians was my #1 choice for the Packers job when MM got canned, but quickly on he said he had no interest in GB.
vegas492
I'm an Arians fan. And I believe Rodgers would love his "push it downfield" philosophy. But, Arians didn't want to come here and made that widely known.  And the Rodgers we have now, at his age, is best served in this style of offense.  MLF has proved to us that he can win. Rodgers has shown that he has bought into the system. Let's let this train roll.
PACKRULE
so the 17-4 record with AR's current coach is an issue?
Toddfather
I think MLF made it clear that he had the wrong game plan, and didn't prepare for Tampa properly. I still think this was one game. I know we are seeing a trend with the more physical and fast defenses, but I still like MLF. I know the San Fran game could be another good test. Granted they are injured. Chicago will be big for many reasons. Edited October 21, 2020 by Toddfather
