If it wasn’t for DC, we would be one of the worst teams in the league. Probably lose to the Jets and be in that tier.

They did loose to the Jets with DC playing for all intents and purposes. They got bailed out.

DC has to take some criticism. He started hot, but again tailed off the second half of the season. More turnovers, erratic play and red zone failures. It's on Gruden and Carr. From the Atlanta game on, he's been an average QB.

In year 7, he's still failing to show the consistency of a franchise QB. Maintaining what I've believed in him. He can win you games, but you won't go far December on with him.

Not many QBs have to deal with a joke of a defense and still win games like DC... finally caught up to Gruden...

We have gone over this so many times.  We have set up our defense to be this way and so much of our draft and cap capital have gone towards giving Carr what he needs.  The offense needs to carry the team. Our offensive guru decided to give the lions share to his side of the ball and to hire and retain a defensive coordinator that could not get the defense to play up to their talent level.  This is on Gruden and Carr since we have been unable to execute when needed even though they have been given so much.  How much blame you want to put on each one is up for debate.  I would give Carr 25% of the blame because he is the QB and they get praised when we do well and blamed when we don't.  It is just the nature of the position.  Even if Gruden is calling the plays Carr has to understand after 3 years that these plays do not work under these circumstances.  Audible out to something different.  If the fans can see it and know what is coming then the defense should also.  If Carr can not understand this then that is on him also.

Only constant in all this is carr. Maybe we’re holding carr back from greatness. Maybe a change of scenery will allow him to achieve goat status.

Are we still favorites in Denver after how we have collapsed the 2nd half of the season?

Yes but Barely less than a Field goal. Basically odds makers giving us a 55% chance to win. Week 17 is the hardest week to judge with both teams out of the playoffs

Personally, I don't like our chances this week as motivation in mile high could be questionable after being eliminated last week in a deflating loss

There is no logical reason to bring Carr back again.

7 years in the NFL as a starter with one playoff game is ridiculously longest leash in NFL history. Time for a New start at QB
