In 1948 they went 14-0 in a league that only had 1 other winning team. They were still darn good in the 1950's Detroit's best team was probably about the same time too. Im just embarassed as a Browns fan that I quite literally have to go back 60 years to remember the last time the Browns had a dominant stretch. Pray for me this Sunday.

Good luck, Facing backups so I like your odds Although I remember in 2004 the Bills played the Steelers at home week 17 with all of their backups and Tommy Maddox and Willie Parker destroyed us and kept us out of the playoffs. I think their kicker had like 8 field goals that game I hope you have better luck

Our last good 3 year stretch was '84-'86 and then you have to go all the way back to the World War 2 era to find our 2nd best.

Their best 2 year stretch was of course 2003-2004 and the team felt much more dominant those two years then it did at any other point in the dynasty (they had some absurd win streak) but 2002 and 2005-2006 were off years. Can't believe that was 2 years ago and now they are trash. oh well.

Forge
Niners is 88-90. 38-10, 3 championship games, 2 super bowl wins in 2 appearances (and a Roger Craig fumble away from 3)
August4th
doing the opposite and looked up the steelers worse 3 yr stretch since the merger. I think 1986--89 just edges out 98-00 6-10 8-7 5-11 the mid to late 80s from the steelers looked dreadful
